How to convince my friends to play destiny?
So basically, I like this game a lot and I want my friends to try this out too, but the problem is they just FEEL it's boring or it's lame just by looking at the trailer in the store page and go back to playing valorant... Rn I'm a solo player and really wanted my friends to join me so I could have a little fun while playing the game. I just don't know how to convince them to play the game with me. T_T

you pretty much can't: this game's free to play experience, while fun, lasts for around 10 hours and then they have to pay what, like 100 dollars to get more content? No way to convince anyone but rich people with more money than sense to play this game.

If they are that into Valorant, chances are that this is just not something they will like. If you can't talk them into trying the free part, I don't know what to say to help.

Hi good to meet another guardian with friends who prefer valorant.
Truth is you cant convince anyone to play something they dont like.
Me and my friends get together and play pubg on weekends 'cos its the only thing we commonly enjoy chatting and driving around in.

If they enjoy Valorant then honestly its probably just not the type of game they want which I assume is sweaty competitive pvp that gives them a rush and it probably doesn't help that Destiny 2 trailers use a lot of slowmo.

This is more of an rpg and there are a lot of people that just don't want to bother getting "invested" in games with rpg mechanics such as needing to farm weapons, armor, skills, and other stuff.

There is a good chunk of the game they can play for free to get a feel for it: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2691498745 But if you can't convince them to at least try playing through the first and free Witch Queen mission then you probably can't help it.

Show them witch queen trialer maybe or maybe some stuff from new season. If they aren't into looter shooters , there's nothing you can do sadly. At worst you'll have to end up addiing some folks from here and play with them.

Honestly I wouldn't bother, while the trailers are amazing they are definitely designed for people who already play the game like they're already confusing enough if you know what's going on because ithat's Savathun's thing but I can't imagine how it looks to new players. I'd recommend Shadowkeep and Beyond Light launch trailers over Witch Queen's launch trailers if you wanted to show people a cinematic first impression of the game.

But honestly the best thing to do is just try it themselves for free.

if you all play it and like it, you'll have no problem paying for it. it's worth it, and the free portion will prove that.

Buy them the DLC, then theyll feel obligated and they might like it and stay

I remember one of my grandsons saying the only reason he didn't play was because he didn't have the content, so I got it for him, and he played it for maybe two hours and then went back to Fortnite.

My friend used to try and convince me every content drop to come back, even bought me the dlc in december to get me to play with him for a little. But tbh reason i dont come back and why most people i know wont play is because its too confusing to start and way too much time investment. When i tried to get people in the problem was when the game changed the way new players play, we the older players dont know what they are seeing or experiencing. So i cant even suggest what to do or help guide them as what the game is having them do as "new light" players is something we never went through. So that disconnect between new players and old ones was just another wedge the game has created.
I also believe those who wanted to play this game have already tried it, they arent going to attract many new players.

You are so full of it. In the past all people could do was complain about the new player experience, how it was confusing. New light all but holds there hand, step by step easy to follow instructions, even what button to push. Try harder!
