The other half or lament?

should i use the other half with duelist's trance and frenzy or should i use lament? i mean which one is better and why?

Lament will always do more damage plus you can break barriers, but you're occupying an exotic slot. Also it still does crazy crazy.
The anniversary swords are mostly great for skating in my opinion and maybe ad clear. They will never compete with lament in terms of damage

i mean it could be a good place holder if i a want to use another exotic right?

Lament is definitely your go-to for damage. If you want to use something else for DPS that's actually a Legendary weapon and not an Exotic so you've got that slot free, you may want to try and get yourself a Falling Guillotine with Whirlwind Blade & Relentless Strikes or Tireless Blade which will vastly outperform the Other Half and its brother blade.

then i guess based of what you say, im just gonna grab out the falling guilotine's i have (even if temptations hook for me does more damage, atleast in total that is)

I don't think there's any other legendary sword that can outperform the guillotine in terms of burst damage.
The 5 light 1 heavy combo still slaps like crazy

i guess temptations hook does the better damage for me, then falling guilotine i guess? but still why that over the new and better perked swords?

Well, Titan sword is even better than Lament DPS-wise. Vortex after nerfs is ~5-8% better than Adaptive and Hunter swords. Caster is bad at 15-20% lower than Vortex.

It's 10 light attacks now and heavy got an ammo nerf, Bungie really wants out in the ground.
