Why is the max level still 40?
This was the major drawback of the original game and still here in the remaster. Why they did not increase the level cap to 60?

Because the original game used tables that stopped at level 45 for all enemies, damage tables etc. The devs thought this was too much work to change. (see answer to just about anything else you ask).

Why was it a draw back also you level up way slower now

enemys drop less xp overall quests still give a bunch suppose best thing to do is just do the town centered missions and avoid the side dungeons

also something else to note, it's possible to max out all skills in the game with level 40, I believe for whatever reason unless you spend all your points you can't finish locking in the skills

Im assuming the DLC they have planned will increase it.

Is there any mod that removes the level cap?

There are skill books and trainers that increase your skills (not abilities).

Am 3 hours into Re-Reckoning, have noticed it's a LOT longer / slower to level.

I'm hoping that the level cap will increase when they issue next year's DLC.

I don't understand why you'd want to increase the level cap personally.
There are no higher tiers of gear so your gear will be outleveled.
Its already possible to cap all your skill points.
And if you cheat you can give yourself extra abilities I suppose, though that just seems boring to me. 120 is plenty of points. I don't need more.

Because this is a re-master?

But if we multi class then we cannot get all the abilities of the said classes cuz of the level 40 cap.

Not the highest level ones, but that is intentional. It is designed that way so there's a real choice between class and ''do it all''
TetchyPorpoise Sep 10, 2020 @ 10:04pm
And also, the high-level abilities from each tree aren't really all that great when you multi-class.
I'd only really want to use Celerity on a universalist class tbh.
And realistically, I'll get better damage out of Hammers & a something faster pairing than a greatsword.

The destinies significantly buff the damage out of every tree, but you also have to specialize your build a bit to really make use of the highest level abilities.

Meteor on a Warlord? Its soooo not worth it. Just swing your hammer and you'll do the same damage with no mana cost.
