Of all the battles and campaigns that The Omniknight found himself tasked to oversee by the holy consciousness itself, none of the armies fought with the ferocity and fervor as the Immortalis Crusaders. Servants of the Omniscience since time unremembered, the Immortalis were known the world over for their devotion to the light and their ability in battle. Tasked with carrying out the will of the Omniscience across the globe, the Immortalis waged a holy war from the highest hills to the lowest valleys. In their wake, the armies of demons and heretics alike lay defeated and broken. Blessed with holy power, they could appear anywhere in an instant, the only sign of their arrival or departure a holy light and the barks of their warhounds. Rumors spread that the small band of no more than three hundred men had toppled armies in the thousands, or that they were undefeated in combat, or even that the army was made of heros long since buried and seemingly unkillable. These claims had largely proven to be true, until the day that the Immortalis fought the demonic acolytes of an unknown master.

On the outskirts of Stonehall did the Clinicus of the Immortalis legion fall, the first time anyone could recall the crusaders losing a warrior. The Omniscience spoke, and Purist Thunderwrath was called upon as a temporary replacement until a true Immortalis could take up the holy mantle again. Purist donned the Holy Armor of the Immortalis, and as he tightened the last strap of leather, a blinding light filled the room. He found himself transported into the middle of a ferocious battle, standing in the exact spot the Clinicus had fallen. In that moment, the heavy armor felt weightless, his hammer felt like an extension of his will, and his heart pounded with ferocity he had never experienced before. With a mighty shout, he charged into the fray, Unleashing a relentless frenzy of attacks with the voice of the Omniscience echoing across the battlefield. As The Omniknight roared and pulverized the bodies of the demonic acolytes with a furious vengeance, the landscape became a blur to him, interrupted only by an occasional blinding light and the feeling of bone and flesh giving way under the weight of his hammer blows. His only thoughts were those of the enemy before him, the allies beside him, and the inspiring presence of the Omniscience guiding his hand.

With the last of the heretics defeated, a old man who reminded Purist much of himself approached The Omniknight to take his position among the warriors. as the dutiful cleric removed his armor, the Knight of Light felt his world changing, he felt the bloodlust lessen and his vision growing clearer. As the last straps fell away, the cleric nodded towards the Omniknight before a blinding light enveloped him, and the entire army of the Immortalis faded away from view. It had been several months and he had traveled hundreds of miles, yet Purist felt none of it. The power of the Immortalis army echoed around him as the light dissipated, leaving Thunderwrath with the feeling that he was destined to serve in the Immortalis Crusade again, be it in this life or forever after his death.
