At birth Lina was blessed with the power to control fire, but it was something unusual since her parents didn't have any magical power, nor does anyone else in town. All the kids in town hated her for that, but they couldn't do anything to her for Lina was stronger and smarter than them all. However, at that moment her little sister - Rylai - was just another normal child with neither magical power nor special abilities, which made her an easy target for the bullies, and Lina would be the one to protect Rylai every single time. Lina thought to herself that as long as she could protect her sister, everything would be fine. But things weren't that simple.
One day, a monster attacked the town. The monster proved to be too strong for the adults, and not even Lina with her magic power could stop it. As the monster was able to attack Lina and Rylai, a miracle happened: Rylai's dormant magical power awakened, and she used that power to slay the monster with ease.
Lina was surprised, but she was happy for Rylai. However, Lina was also disheartened by the fact that she was powerless. The thought drove her to practice again and again, in hope that she would be as strong as Rylai, but no matter how hard she tried, Rylai always proved to be the better one. The growing frustration made her lose control over her fire, causing all kinds of troubles in town, and Rylai would be the one to fix those troubles. Eventually everyone in town would consider Rylai as a gift and Lina as a nuisance. This fueled Lina's jealousy towards Rylai even more until she finally lost her cool and lashed out at her sister. Fed up with both of their daughters, the saddened couple decided to send Lina to the harsh desert of Misrule and Rylai to the cold realm of Icewrack.
Spending some time alone helped Lina calm herself, she vowed to master her power and become stronger, and being in the desert of Misrule was perfect for her training. The creatures native to Misrule had adapted to its intense heat and developed high resistance to fire, making Lina's training a hellish one. After years of hard work, Lina had finally conquered all the creatures in Misrule, proving that her flames are deadlier than Misrule's intense heat itself.
Now stronger than ever, Lina sets out to explore the unknown world, wearing the outfit as proof that she had conquered Misrule. Leaving all doubts behind, Lina's quest to become stronger just begins, and this time she plans to fulfill the promise that last time she couldn't keep: protect her little sister.


This is the remake version of my first 3D modelling attempt. I wanted make use of Lina's detail map mask (the moving fire pattern on some of her items) so I make the set resembles fire as much as possible. A big thanks to all of my friends who gave me feedbacks on improving the set.
