Interesting find. I gotta say, though, taking advantage of a mechanism in which the game does not simulate real life when a person expects that it will is kinda mean. :)

When I figured it out, I let out an evil laugh. Y'know, after the initial "What!? It actually WORKS like that!?"

Interesting and different. Not etirely sure I did it the way intended but if so rather than a new mechanism I think it is more of a bug in the physics. Am I correct that you need only use five portal placements?

Interesting... I'm pretty sure i have tried that on the single player episodes at some point and it didn't act like that. I might be wrong though ;) Thanks for this! Please, F4F mine: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=74420713

Awesome Idea! That mechanism opens up a lot new solutions and I'm surely gonna use your Idea in the next Part of my Glitched! Map

Thank you for this short but meaningful chamber :)
I found this mechanism before for fun but now I can see that it can be useful!

Sorry Erock, had to delete a post there, as it completely revealed the mechanic here. Do use []text in black[] to keep it hidden.

I'm open to suggestions on how to give more hints as to what to do. I've tried to keep the map free of clutter and added the lights to point it out.

Just changed my dislike to a like. On first play I thought this was a dexterity intense challenge, requiring a lot of precise hopping, which I don't like (largely because I am horrible at it.) When I came here to comment, I got a clue from what was said, went back and tried something else, which I think uses the mechanic you've mentioned. It is a neat thing.

However, I'm not sure I would have gotten it on my own. The light pattern didn't communicate to me very well.

Interesting. I did not know that mechanic existed. Fun showcase of it. Laid out well enough where you know what your supposed to do but just can't...until you stumble upon the answer.

Nice mechanism ^^ I discovered it randomly when playing another map, but this map is a perfect demo to show how to use it ;)

If you want to see some new mechanism I found, try the Levitation chamber ^^

That is correct. I hadn't seen it before where used on purpose. But of course there are 100k+ maps, so it's sure to be used somewhere.

Ah, i think i got it...though i still don't know if this mechanic can be considering new or tricky.
To not spoil the entire possible solution, i used a "trick" to make the blue gel slower(the rest is easy). Is this correct?
Rengor  [author] May 29, 2012 @ 10:10pm
Ah, no that was not the intended solution. Thanks for pointing that out!
I have moved the gel away from the exit to remove that shortcut.
If you have a chance, please see if you can solve it now.
Tip: The lights indicate what to do and when to do it.

I don't know if i got the right solution, because to me it seems like half of the map is unessesery... at first i made blue gel everywhere possible(because i didn't know what i was dealing with) then i merely put up a portal at the top near the exit and jump through to land on one blue spot, then moved to the next one and finally on the exit. I had to adjust a bit by moving in the air with left-right(aka "a" and "d") which i THINK was the point, but like i said, some parts of the map just seemed pointless then...
did you mean with "fleeting momentum" the left-right movement in the air?

Comments are very welcome!
In particular, I added visual clues to what the solution is, and I'm wondering if that made it too obvious?
