Tough execution in places, but the puzzle was fun and challenging to figure out. You used a few ideas that I've never seen before. Thumbs up.

I think I beat the end of the map in an unintended way.
I basically respawned the cube to make it in the cage again, then portalled one there and on the ceiling above the small slope so it stayed there. Then I placed a funnel in the lowest possible spot, used the sphere as a step up to enter the funnel, then funneled myself into the cage where the cube was. With me and the cube both on that ledge, I could funnel myself to the exit with the cube.

Actually i played a map where you are forced to do this

I highly recommend this one..
Also i´m no portal ninja , i just like to find more than one solution and i always go for the intended way - For me it is not "still having" fun, it is even more fun ;)
cheers

Yeah, as i said i will just ignore that "solution" ^^ If players want to complete the map that way.. fine. This is not my way of playing portal but if people training for Portal2NinjaAwards still have fun with my map then so be it ^^.
Thx Yöjalka for showing this, i didnt know it was possible.

Well, i´d never concider my jumping as bunnyhopping because i really suck - So, thank you :)
But you´re right, you can´t get it with just walking..
I didn´t want to point out a problem, it´s more like showing a little trick which is very useful in a lot of maps!
One thing you can do is to build the corners with glass panels - turrets only shut down when they don´t see you anymore.. But i wouldn´t change anything - it´s a great map as it is!

Oh, I just watched the video : The problem here is not the sleep mode, it's the fact that Yöjalka used bunny jump to reach the turret in time ^^ You can't do that with normal speed ;)
V-Lancer  [author] Jul 19, 2012 @ 3:09am
There is a difference between what I thought sleepmode was and what he did in the video he posted ^^ my solution also requires you to walk around the turret fast enoth but his ninja-style is something else and i would consider it a bug because its just not intended
Geneosis Jul 19, 2012 @ 3:07am
@RedCore : Don't think the "sleep mode" is considered as a bug ^^ This is a normal feature of the game and you have to think with it ;) Nevermind if you can ninja kill some turrets here, just think about it for your next puzzles ^^
V-Lancer  [author] Jul 18, 2012 @ 3:22pm
Nice "hack". I guess I just cant avoid a solution that tricky without remaking everything. Maybe Valve will fix the timing on the sleep mode here?!
Zapperlott Jul 18, 2012 @ 12:36pm
Nice chamber! Had fun with this one..
There is an easy way too..you can run to the turret when it switches to "sleep mode"

Nice one ^^ A good coordination needed to kill the turret, but when you have the idea, it's not too hard ;)
V-Lancer  [author] Jun 21, 2012 @ 12:59pm
Thanks for your report esmo. I fixed this in the last revision.
Also i made the map a lot cleaner with the last revision.
esmo Jun 18, 2012 @ 6:27am
much easier now, the old version was more of a challenge, maybe this version will appeal to the masses? tipped over turret under lightbridge, didn't need to time the cube drop like before. To drop new cube placed funnel over ecube button, it wiggled the ecube enough to activate the release. portaled over new cube then funnel'd across

Deceptively simple map, thumbs up!! Just one or two more P-surfaces where you can put your entry portal in the last 2 steps would be great, if possible. Maybe next to the one just before the angled glass panels?

Nice feedback that im getting here :D Thx Guys
esmo Jun 11, 2012 @ 10:58pm
fun map @ medium diff. map leads you to the solution well, good use of a turret; ones' all you need! cheers.
TC Gladdyù Jun 11, 2012 @ 10:34am
Pretty easy to solve if you just keep thinking of all possibilities, there aren't that much.
DarthClide Jun 11, 2012 @ 1:12am
@toncica lol. I did as you said and stood up there and realized what needed to be done
toncica Jun 6, 2012 @ 3:15pm
Such an elegant puzzle. Marvelous. Had me thinking for several minutes. The solution seemed so near but also so vague. But when you stop thinking and take just a good look, preferably from a higher view point, the puzzle will solve itself.
Admiral Archibald May 18, 2012 @ 8:49am
Oh I don't doubt that it's solvable, I'm just lost as to how to get us both across the gap! I have a good idea about how it's done, just need to figure out how to execute it!
V-Lancer  [author] May 17, 2012 @ 7:47am
I promise that it is solvable ^^ Even the 2nd part where u try to get yourself AND the cube to the exit
Admiral Archibald May 14, 2012 @ 8:15am
This one has me beat. I have no idea how to get across the gap after taking the turret out.
Sentry May 10, 2012 @ 4:32pm
Nice one, that was a hard one to get my head around ;)
