great map, very clever concept. figuring it out was satisfying

Very interesting puzzle, absolutely loved it. Hammer work as well was quite nice, however there is a bit too much large void and empty space. This map is old of course so why does it matter :P

Overall Fantastic

8/10

Took me a while. Nicely done chamber.
Charnul 22 okt 2018 om 10:17
That was a really nice map! wish I could design interesting tests like that...

Thanks for the playthrough Paper! You were right - my Hammer experience does improve as you approach the newer stuff. I was a fan of your analysis of why things were the way they were - for example, yes, those two relays are to stop the player from being able to power the lift from any angle, which the cube allows
bullfrog 23 apr 2018 om 1:28
Great puzzle. I got both cubes quite quickly, then got stuck trying all sorts of silly and overcomplicated things, so took a look at @Paper's playthrough;I was trying to do it without "a permanent laser" i.e. no portals needed :steamfacepalm: XD

Nice job with this one! Liked the aesthetic and the bootstrapping .

Here's my blind playthrough of this one. I was kind of expecting bounce gel and a lightbridge by the name, but a nice map none the less

Petutski 24 jan 2017 om 3:12
Nicely done. Stumped until I saw the laser receptical. Duh. Thanks!
adamu 14 okt 2016 om 21:44
Nice map, doesn't require any ninja skills - I ran around confounded for about half an hour before I worked out how to deal with the timed laser.
jandlml 23 sep 2016 om 16:30
constantly learning new tricks in this game. like what you did with the piston and laser cubes. great!
CoachHines 26 mei 2015 om 15:06
Nice atmosphere, but a wee bit tedious for my tastes.
Polux 25 mei 2014 om 12:37

I really love how you integrated the behind the scenes vastness and plant-destruction in the same level, which is how it would be anyway if Portal 2 was less change-everything-so-we-can't-even-make-the-things-in-one-game-be-the-same-throughout
Oh... Big Shimiko 5 okt 2013 om 10:21
Nice little puzzle, I liked the use of the laser being activated by relays. Took me about three and a half minutes. Thumbs up.

Sure! All you have to do is navigate to your portal 2 directory, and look for a folder named "bin".
In 'bin', there's an application called 'p2map_publish'. Simply run that, and you're good to go!
Shadow 13 feb 2013 om 14:25
Hey there! I have made a test using the PeTI editor and then I modified it on Hammer, but now I just wonder how I could publish it in the Workshop. Could you give me some tips on this? Since I see your map was customized.. any help would be appreciated :)
Shadow 24 jan 2013 om 14:51
No problem about the name, I was just commenting in case of someone else would try it and fail. :) And thanks for the hint about recording, I'm going to give it a try. Again, nice map and great puzzle, I like the custom visual mainly the destroyed one lol
srs bsnss  [auteur] 23 jan 2013 om 20:18
Oh, sorry, I forgot I had renamed the file.
Anyway, a demo is recorded simply by typing "record [demo name]" into console, and then it will record everything until you type "stop" into console. They're stored in the steamapps/common/portal 2/portal2 directory. Hope that helps!
Shadow 23 jan 2013 om 17:04
Thanks so much for the playthrough, it was easier than I thought :P *facepalms* Although I didn't see the whole playthrough, only until the part where the fizzler is disabled for the first time , the left steps I got it by myself. I need to rethink how I use lasers lol. Another question, how did you make that .dem file? It's more interesting to see a "live demo" than a video. P.S: the file is called bluebridge_h, that was the name I needed to use in the console of course (in case of someone else would try it too :P)
srs bsnss  [auteur] 21 jan 2013 om 23:44
I've added a .dem file to the description of my playthrough. Just put it in your steamapps/common/portal 2/portal2 file, then open console in-game and type "playdemo bluebridge"
Shadow 20 jan 2013 om 6:26
Definitively, it broke my brain. I couldn't find a solution for it (neither the original PeTI one) A video would be great :P
Shadow 20 jan 2013 om 6:01
Very nice map, well done. But some vid would help, I got stuck :P
srs bsnss  [auteur] 1 jan 2013 om 23:23
Ugh. I can't believe I didn't notice that the starting video was still there in the elevator. I've gone and removed that now, so you can go play it and see the elevator room correctly, if you want.

Thanks again for the comments! Unfortunately this map seems like it's passed it's peak, so I'm glad you guys took the time to leave a comment, because I now know I did the map right, but uploaded it at the wrong time. (P.S. I might post a solution video some time...maybe.)
Dale Cooper 23 dec 2012 om 6:54
really nice design, especially the wide look into aperture. The puzze is not too hard and so it is all in all a like and a new workshopfollower ;)
Sejievan 22 dec 2012 om 6:13
