Interesting watching Metzger's solution. I have never seen him give up! The easy solution, of course, is to [spoiler} turn off the laser (cube in adjacent room) so the jump tot the exit platform is not blocked! [/spoiler]

Ok, I do love the force field that beats you up before killing you if you keep running into it. Strangly, I find it highly amuzing.

The one thing that stumped me was the hole in the wall near the funnel. I had no clue that was there! Make it clearer to spot please? I know a portal wall on the opposite side is a hint but it doesn't seem like enough.

@tanger; I agree; the layout of the map is very very basic; but this was made in a 2 hour speedmapping competition a while ago ;) the way the turrets ddon't see you is done with block_los ;)

I like the new death fizzler. Its a good map that looks a lot like a PeTI map. How did you manage not to have the turrets see you from the ground though?

@gunnar.clovis, that's the deadly fizzler (at least it's supposed to be!). I'm not sure how it didn't manage to kill you...or anyone, for that matter.

Nice test; good to see that someone can utilize well the info_placement_helper in their Hammer maps.

I finished the fixed version. Sometimes, when I bounce off the central platform, it bounces me sideways. I've always had a problem with bouncy gel, though, so it's probably just me. I'd post a solution video, but I'd be embarassed by all my failures to do the simplest things.

Sorry, but I broke it immediately. I flung myself onto the platform with the turrets and dispatched them, then pushed the button to raise the walkway and flung myself onto it and walked out. I never went into any side rooms.

The portal magnets in the last area can be a bit bothersome, and the flinging part can be annoying and death-inducing. Other than that, nice simple little level.
I especially liked the red barrier; it blocked portals and I don't know about objects like a fissler, but it didn't kill you! Instead, it simply hurts you and bounces you back, which is ingenious and extrememly helpful in not being annoying. And, of course, it is switched back to a fissler, which is great.
