Nice tough hard casual, it did stump me for a while, great for thinking outside the box.

nice map

Played the original a few months ago. Only remembered that it was quite a challenge - and it challenged me again ^^ Maybe "only" half of the time now, but still it wasn't done in a minute.
This map truly deserves its transition into Hammer. Most of the steps seem so pointless yet they are so crucial, that is why it's hard to come up with the correct sequence. So good! Thumbs up  and a fav :steamhappy:

It took me quite long to finally try this one but it's a banger - I love how simple the layout is but coming up with the solution is challenging and there's something nice about how each step gets you closer to the state you want to be in at the end. Can't believe I slept on this one for so long, especially since one of your other maps (Sectors) is one of my all time fav puzzles (both in Portal 2 and outside of Portal 2, it impacted me a lot the first time I played it).

Simple and Beautifull

To solve this puzzle, I put myself back to 4 times spaced a month apart on each new attempt. And then today without thinking too much in 15 minutes I was finally able to solve this puzzle without the slightest help and that satisfaction !!
I put it directly in my favorites!

This is freaking great! Five days in a row I was desperately trying to solve this test and I already started to think it's totally above my intellectual abilities, when suddenly BAM! I found out what to do! It's sooooo wonderful feeling :D I freaking love those hard to solve tests! That what keeps me playing Portal 2 ctc :steamhappy:

Wow, I know it's old by now but that was everything I'm looking for in a puzzle. The perfect puzzle IMO: Clear simple goal to get to exit. Minimum elements. Yet really tough to figure out. Excellent work.

Actually I'm not sure if I cheated. I cracked after about 3/4 hour and looked at hints, but I didn't feel like they told me anything I didn't already know. Maybe they helped though, but anyway, perfect map!

Brilliant puzzle. I played your ‘Azorae's Solitude (Original)’ last month which I thumbs and favorited for the intended solution. This version is a worthy remake which gets rid of unintended solution; so thumbs up to both and favourite moved to this one :)

Continued: As someone said before in the comments, this puzzle is laid out so everything is clear and you can know what each thing does. It's your fault when you spend an hour plus sulving it!

For anyone who thinks you can get stuck in the area with the fizzler (with a hint included): go to the right and aim at the laser area, you can shoot a portal from there and escape, and furthermore this fact is reused a bunch of times during the solution

So I tried this around a year ago, had no idea whatsoever how to solve it so I moved on. Came back today, took me like around an hour to solve, I really really tried my best this time. For how simple it looks this is definetely the most challenging puzzle I've came across. Throughout my playing I kept feeling really dumb for not knowing the next thing to do which seemed so simple and logical afterwards. Even with looking at hints I had lot of trouble. At the end tho I tell yeah it's one of the best feeling when you know you've finally solved it after alternating periods of thinking really hard and then just bouncing around in game feeling tired not knowing what to do. At the end I broke the like button, one of the best maps I've ever played.

Another good one. Took about 1/5 the time of the first of your chambers I stumbled across. Seems I'm beginning to get a feel for the twisted logic you employ.
amieres Apr 30, 2016 @ 1:39pm
@Polux that seems like a glitch that should not happen.
amieres Apr 30, 2016 @ 1:31pm
Fantastic! Your chambers have a feeling of impossibility, yet they are solvable.
Asha Man Feb 12, 2016 @ 6:52pm
Wow. I knew I had to get the reflector cube to both buttons, but after getting it to the first one............. getting it to the second was damn tricky. Favorited.

Hint: you don't need the funnell to get the cube to the first button.
Pamsy Feb 9, 2016 @ 12:04am
That - was - real - genius. Hint 1: Use 2 portals (no cube) as the primary way to open the funnel chamber. Hint 2: Drop off the cube in the funnel chamber. Hint 3: A cube can operate a button and a laser at the same time.

I took the opportunity to remake your map in a quite differente way :

@Polux That's the same way I beat it. Decent little puzzle.

Well, interesting test chamber but I would be surprised if my solution's intended...

EXCUSE ME, indeed, I'll try it again soon :)
Polux Dec 24, 2015 @ 12:19pm
Oh, sorry maybe you can aim the wall near the laser...
Polux Dec 24, 2015 @ 12:17pm
When you are in the funnel/laser catcher area without portals.
Azorae  [author] Dec 24, 2015 @ 11:13am
Can you describe it? I tested this map pretty rigorously and was never able to trap myself.
Polux Dec 24, 2015 @ 7:52am
Hmm, it seems that there is a BIG TRAPPING situation at the laser catcher area...............
plokijuh Oct 29, 2015 @ 12:52am
Incredible work... your maps are legendary.
tu7650x Sep 26, 2015 @ 3:53pm
Solved!! In my sleep... or almost!! The eureka moment came while tossing and turning in bed and rolling the puzzle around in my head. Couldn't wait to get up and execute the plan in my head. Absolutely lovely puzzle Azora e. Thanks for your awesome work. :steamhappy:
tu7650x Sep 23, 2015 @ 5:40pm
Wow... this is a hard one... It doesn't look that hard when you first enter it but...Subbing and keeping it for a rainy day. Been at it for 2 hours and still no eureka moment yet. Bravo man, this one's a classic.
