First hammer map!

Descrizione
Sorry I can't think of a better name for this, but yeah, my first map made entirely in Hammer. With a little help from Tmast98 FelixGriffin & yishbarr, I finally got it to publish and should work properly now. I decided I'd try and give it the dilapidated look, it's not a long map since I'm kinda new to doing maps this way.

Nice first map in Hammer. The design is ok but you have to review your fizzlers. The two fizzler models of the vertical fizzler are not aligned and not well clipped in the walls. The fizzler itself is not wide enough and the flizzer on the ground is too thick.

Nice map! Logical, confusing puzzle! Thanks!

The map was fun but I must confess I didn't find out what half the elements were supposed to do. But, I made it to the end, so hurray for both of us!

Congrats on your first map. There are some issues that hopefully you can learn from for your next one: 1) Texture problems. 2) When you fall into the goo, you don't die, you're just stuck there until you reset. 3) The blue gel isn't necessary. If you're supposed to use it to bounce the turrets, you can save time and effort fiddling with the orange funnel and just portal behind them instead.

Not bad for a first attempt at a Hammer map...

TIPS:
Keep everything aligned. Every unit and detail is important.
If you're going after a particular theme, I suggest checking out Valve's maps. After you've got your basic test, the rest is basically artwork.
Learn about the different lights: what they do, and how you can control them.
Use a soundscape (env_soundscape) to add a pleasant background noise (so that we don't suspiciously hear nothing when we're standing still).
Finally (if you're daring enough), get technical! That's what separates great Hammer maps from the run-of-the-mill PTI maps (including maps made with mods).

Excellent job for a first map!
I'm sure some veterans will tell you there are some minor detail issues, but I'm sure you'll get better in practice, and it looks great to me! The puzzle was a bit easy, but very clever! Nice job! I look forward to seeing more of your maps!

Nice Map for a first hammer map a little bit easy though. A good idea will to look at HMW's overgrown maps if you wanna see how to do it damn near perfect.(or vanilla Portal 2 maps) It was a little easy, but hamer is hard to get used to so i guess its good to start basic. Thumbs up.
