In 1990 "The Gladiator" debuted in Japanese promotion FMW, capturing his first title by 1994. After a brief stint in AJPW he went back to ECW where he became known a Mike Awesome. A powerbomb specialist with cruiserweight agility, seldom did Mike do anything that didn't look totally awesome. After a dominant championship run in ECW, which included a legendary feud with Masato Tanaka, he went on to WCW and then WWE. One of the greatest big men the sport has ever known. Why? Because he was AWESOME! May he rest in peace and glory.
