At the Rasmujevo Village, the Ramushevo Corridor began , and it was a no ordinary road, it was build on wood logs also called “Rollbahn”. The terrain was a mix of swamp, marsh, rivers and big forest and not suitable for tanks or vehicles, the “Rollbahn” was 90 km long and at some places the corridor was only 4 km wide. The road was to supply the 96.000 Germans troops consisting of 6 Germans divisions 12, 30, 32,123,290 infantry division and the SS-Totenkopf division under the 16th Army, these was trap inside the Demjansk Pocket, surrounded by 21 Russian divisions.
