May 11, 2024 - Season 1 - Update 9 (Mod Version 1.0.9)
New Save Game is Not Required
  • Fixed a bug where the Nanite swarmer sections were missing.

  • Fixed a bug that was causing the transport ship models for the new shipsets to not show up.




May 8, 2024 - Season 1 - Update 8 (Mod Version 1.0.8)
New Save Game is Not Required
  • Updated the mod for Stellaris 3.12 (A new game is not required if you started your current game AFTER the 3.12 Stellaris update. Games started on 3.11 or earlier will not work with this update.)

  • Added NSC classes to the two new shipsets from the Machine DLC.

  • Added NSC combat tactics slot and NSC special slots to the Offspring ships.

  • Added new icons for ship behaviors, some starbase modules, and some weapons, thanks to our new icon artist Aonova!

  • Updated the descriptions of some Fleet Doctrines to make it clearer what they are modifying.

  • Fixed a vanilla bug where the basic Torpedo Combat Computer did not upgrade to the Advanced computer properly.

  • Added the starbase civilian modules to the NSC Mod Menu so they can be turned on or off.

  • Fixed a text bug where the Harpoon Torpedo was still being referred to as the Harpoon Advanced Cruise Missile.




March 3, 2024 - Season 1 - Update 7 (Mod Version 1.0.7)
New Save Game is Not Required
  • Updated the mod files to Stellaris 3.11.

  • Greatly increased the AI weight for all NSC reactor technologies. The AI should put a priority on researching them now.

  • Significantly increased the number of utility slots on Offspring ships to give them more longevity in combat (per community request).

  • Fixed a bug where two turrets were missing on the Battleship Broadside Core.

  • Changed all "Exploration Cruiser" text to "Explorer" in the localisation files.

  • Fixed a bug where one of the Titan core sections was not displaying its name in the ship designer.

  • Fixed a localisation error that referred to Support Cruisers instead of Support Destroyers.

BEAR - None that I am aware of at this time, the few scaling mods stopped supporting NSC.

Are there any scaling mods that are compatible with NSC? I really like this mod but I also really like smaller scale game play.

I found the issue. It's "Ancient Cache Of Technologies: Override" that's causing it. Outdated mod since 2023, known issue on their comment section that was found.

Warden - Try testing this on a new game with only NSC and the UI mod - I am not seeing this at all when I test it on my end. Very likely a bug with a mod, but not this one.

Running into the same issue as Dorf earlier. Some weapons have insane statistics. For example, starting coilguns and lasers have 1000 Damage/Tick, yet it seems incorrect because enemies heal as fast as they do the damage? It must be a mod conflict or something. I've tried adjusting mod load order but cant seem to find a fix personally.

To be honest, I think the biggest issue with the machine set in this mod is the stations
I don't use the new ship classes much, I like this mod mostly for flagships and the extra component slots on ships (plus unlimited titans), I can manage without dreadnoughts or carriers ect

But the top two tiers of starbase bug the buildings and make them default to clipping inside the starbase, this is extremely annoying and I can't unsee it.

I know you said you have nobody that makes textures, but is it possible to fix this so the starbase modules just stay where they are meant to be and don't bug into the middle of the station?

I'd be pretty pleased if that's something that can be done

The main reason I was using AVC over ESC next was due to compatibility with amazing space battles

If ESC is ever patched to work with ASB I will probably switch

It's a shame about the machine shipset, it's easily my favourite set, it sucks to see broken elements (engine effects, starbase bugs, ect)

I don't know how possible it is, but if anyone ever has a way of fixing these I'd love to see it

Smug Saber - As far as I am currently aware, there are compatibility issues between Additional Vanilla Components and NSC. The main component mod we work with is ESC Next,

I can’t answer your question on the section without digging into the files on my PC, which I won’t have access to for several days. I will try to remember to check on this.

The creator of the Machine Shipset has retired from modding, so any bugs or issues with the set will unfortunately not be fixed, as we have no texture or model artists on the team anymore. All we can do is keep the set compatible with the current version of NSC.

Sorry to keep commenting, but I'm also wondering if it's known that the textures on the machine (mod not dlc) dreadnought are buggy?
The panels on the sides of multiple sections have a very noticeable visual glitch when moving
