Description
This map pack is made to test your work-in-progress mods without having to load a campaign and use console commands to stop the director from throwing infected your way.
You can simply spawn and pick up any weapon, item, upgrade and carryable object.

You must load these maps via console right after game start to use them properly!
Cheats will be forced off when launching addon maps after playing any other map.
I can't do anything about it because that's a bug in the game itself, not my maps.


This download only contains the main TUMTaRA maps.
Get all other maps here


If you load the main TUMTaRA maps and the Playground you can open the console and look for a big blue block of text. That block of text contains useful console commands that you can use to test mods.

Mapnames:

  • tumtara_l4d1

Contains:
  • All weapons
  • Vomit overlay tester
  • Error.mdl
  • Concert props
  • SI, CI & UCI Spawner
  • Buttons to add weapon upgrades, enable godmonde, switch characters, clean map, heal and hurt yourself.
  • A bunch of commonly modified props
  • Surivor model Animation cycler
Disclaimer:
TUMTaRA comes with the "versus.nuc" and "coop.nuc" vscript files required to load some functions that must be run pre-map spawn.
You might get conflict errors, not that it would mean anything.
If you want to get rid of those, unpack TUMTaRA and take the scripts out. I would not recommend doing this.

Ah, that mod has a command ran that just disables drawing of all decals in the entire game. That would explain it.

if you are curious, this is the "FPS" boost mod i use. i do not actually need this mod, im just testing out things to see how much FPS i get. but yeah it makes the shootable buttons invisible. on the addon page it gives a list of "launch options" to use. i have NOT used those. so it's some settings inside the vpk of this that is making them invisible

do tell me how your mod makes structural parts of a map, such as func_detail and info_overlay invisible.

If that was true, all maps of the entire game would be missing about half its shit.

Thanks for letting me know that, just what I needed
As for putting it into tumtara, I'm no modder but I could see the use of being able to test a single character's voicelines without having all of the others scream something at the same time and not needing to kill everyone but the one you want to test first
Unnecessary, I suppose, but who doesn't like putting a pretty little bow on things?

Ohhhh so lol it's my FPS mod, it somehow makes the shootable buttons up on the wall invisible lol well least i know they are still there

wait, am i blind or did you remove the ability to swap to different survivors? well that kinda sucks lol. was used to swapping between them to check first person arm models with weapons

I thought about adding that to tumtara, cause its easily done.

But what you can do is use the command "bot_mimic 1" and then use the radial talker to say something, and the bots will all say the same.

Or, if you got a talker script you can swap the talker to use voicelines of any of the bots you wanna check and use "their" voicelines with bot mimic to have just them say it.
"as in, play as nick, set YOUR talker to ellis and speak one of ellis' storied with bot_mimic 1 to have him talk"


OR just literally use the "vocalize" cvar, like "Vocalize PlayerSpotAmmo" to say something about ammo

Is there any map/mod where I can hit a button and make a survivor play a specific voice line where I can watch their facial animations? Tumtara or otherwise
