Forest RTS (WIP)

Description
Build, train an army and fight your enemies! Forest RTS is a RTS map inspired by old classics like Warcraft 3 and Age of Empires. You collect resources, construct buildings and train troops to defeat your enemies. You can either choose to play against waves of attacking barbarians either alone or with allies, or against other players if you prefer PvP. Any constructive feedback is highly appreciated.


How to play:
-----------------
- Find a suitable spot to make a base.
- Construct a Main Tent and Gold Mine.
- Train workers to harvest lumber.
- Construct buildings, train troops and research upgrades before crushing the enemy!

Tips:
------
- Train 10 workers as soon as possible.
- Kill neutral camps early on to get extra gold and lumber. Make sure to have a few troops to support your hero!
- Once you have a sizeable army, take the lumber camp in the middle of the map to get extra lumber income.

Current Game Modes:
------------------------------
Single Player Mode:
- When there is only one player in the game, waves of angry Barbarians will spawn regularly, attacking your base! Stay alive and try to kill as many waves as you can. You will have vision of all the Barbarian units as they spawn. This mode is mainly meant for testing out the map!

Co-Op vs Soldiers Mode:
- When all the players in the game are on the same team, Barbarians will start spawning for each player. This mode works more or less exactly like the Single Player Mode, except that each player gets their own waves.

PvP Mode:
- The default mode when there are players present on both teams. Chop lumber, construct buildings and train troops to defeat the other team. The first team to get a certain amount of kills wins. No barbarians will spawn in this mode.

Released a new version where that Main Tent upgrade crash should be fixed. Waves should also be a little bit easier than before. Still need to figure it what happens before the other disconnect/crash problem before I can fix that as well.

Thanks, I will look at in the next following days. From what I've seen so far from other developers, it seems like crashes have become a much bigger problem the last few years than when I used to work on this mod, so I'll see what I can do with it. However, any additional information about the disconnects/crashes is useful.

In local host i have been disconnected after main building is upgrade (sry for bad eng).

Have you tried to start it by clicking "Create custom lobby" and then choose "Local host" under Server Location? Running it that way might provide some valuable info about whether it's the dedicated servers that's the problem or something else. Would also be helpful if you notice what happens right before the disconnect. Got a crash when I tried it myself, so seems like that's the likely reason, but I haven't figured out what causes it yet.

Tried to play it myself and got the same problem after 7-8 minutes. I'll take a look at it in the weekend and see what I can do, but I can't promise that I can fix it. Also having some problems with the hitboxes of several buildings in the local modding tools. That must be fixed to avoid breaking the mod.

Why are there connection problems after 5 minutes of playing? I've tried it 6 times already - the same thing

If you mean whether the game engine allows a player to not have a hero in the beginning, then I'm not sure. I suspect you have to have one (I haven't tried to circumvent the hero picking screen so this is just guessing from my side), but if you do you could at least make it invisible and unusable if you really don't want one in the beginning. As for the first question, there shouldn't be any problems in making the workers build buildings independent of the hero, and making the hero pump skills instead (like in Warcraft 3).
