Scream Fortress 2010: Horseless Headless Horsemann

I will show you how to unlock all of the Scream Fortress achievements available by playing the Mann Manor event. I will also give you details about the Halloween boss, The Horseless Headless Horsemann.

Introduction

This series of guides will show you how to unlock all of the Scream Fortress achievements available by playing the Mann Manor event. It will also give you details about the Halloween boss, The Horseless Headless Horsemann.

This is a seasonal guide. Certain parts of this guide can't be completed unless the Scream Fortress event is going on. If you'd like to learn about the other Halloween events, read the guides below.

cp_manor_event

Mann Manor is a mansion which belongs to the character Redmond Mann. It's an attack/defend map with three captures points. It is a spooky overhaul of cp_mountainlab with Halloween themed visuals and sounds.




Throughout the map pumpkin bombs are scattered which explode on hit, damaging anybody standing around them.



Mann Manor also uses a different style of health pack. They are themed as a cauldron, a pie box and a chocolate bar.




Mann Manor was created by Tim "YM" Johnson and Alex "Rexy" Kregger. If you'd like to support their work and gain access to the map leaderboard you can purchase the Mann Manor stamp from the Mann Co Store.

Boss Battle

The Horseless Headless Horsemann will appear at random on the currently contested control point as long as there are ten or more players in the server. The amount of players in the server effect the amount of health he has, it will scale from 5,000 all the way up to 9,200. Players can harm him by shooting at him when he appears.

The game will announce his arrival in the form of a popup on the left side of the screen.



Upon his arrival he will fixate on a random player in the server and begin charging towards them. He will slaughter any member of both the blu and red team which get in his way in one hit.




The player who is being fixated will receive a notification letting them know them that they are "it". They can be recognized as "it" to other players by the skull and cross bones marked over their head. To avoid the otherwise inevitable death from the Horseless Headless Horsemann, the player who is "it" can use a melee weapon on any member of the enemy team to switch his focus. You can also clear the "it" status by running far enough away from him or into a spawn room. You will also be cleared as "it" if you manage to survive for thirty seconds.


The Horseless Headless Horsemann will scare players around him before marking a new player as "it". This will happen if the fixated target dies, survives for thirty seconds or runs out of reach. When a player is scared they will move around slowly and are unable to use their weapons. You can make yourself immune to being scared by wearing the Saxton Hale Mask or the Horseless Headless Horsemann's Head.


Once the Horseless Headless Horsemann has been defeated he will begin to shiver before exploding shortly afterwards. He will respawn again roughly 9 minutes after each death.

Achievements

Each time a player is killed they have roughly a 12% chance of dropping a Halloween pumpkin. Upon collecting the pumpkin you will get credit towards the achievement and a short crit buff. It doesn't matter who kills the player as long as you pick up the pumpkin. You'll also receive a hat for completing the achievement.







The Horseless Headless Horsemann will often scare players who are standing near him. This will cause them to walk around vulnerable with ghosts floating around their heads. To earn this achievement simply kill somebody who is under this effect.







Scattered throughout the map are pumpkins with explosives strapped to them. To earn the achievement hit one of these pumpkins when a player is standing close to one. This will cause the pumpkin to detonate, damaging the player standing near it.






Killing an enemy spy who is disguised as your current class will unlock this achievement. Spy-check anybody you see who is the same class as you to earn this achievement.







The Ghasty Gibus Grab can be earned year round. Dominating any player wearing a Ghastly Gibus will earn you the achievement and your own Ghastly Gibus hat.







At random intervals a Halloween present will appear in one one of several locations throughout the map if there are ten or more players on the server. You'll receive a personal alert letting you know the present has appeared. If you collect the present in time you will receive one of nine possible class masks and the achievement.







To earn this achievement you'll need to collect all nine of the class masks from the random Halloween presents on Mann Manor. Once you've collected all nine they can be crafted together to form the Saxton Hale mask, which also unlocks this achievements.

Being one of the last three people to deal damage to the Horseless Headless Horsemann will unlock this achievement. Upon completing this achievement you will receive his pumpkin head as a reward.







Collecting the metal scrap is done by using a melee weapon on the Horseless Headless Horsemann right before he dies. It's safe to get close to him when you see him begin to shiver. You can craft the haunted metal scrap into a number of Halloween inspired items.

I need help,whenever i spawn him in give my self buddha(sometimes noclip because why not)i'll type in "sv_cheats off" and it turns the cheats off but i still cant get the achievments.Does anyone know why??

You probably just have one that isn't craftable. All weapons are craftable, it just depends on how yo got them.
