Simple Dark Age Build Order

Sick of falling behind in the early game?
This guide will help you increase your level of play throughout the Dark Age and get you into Fedual Age in fighting shape.

The Dark Age

The Dark Age is the part of the game where you first need to set up. Age of Empires 2 has been around since 1999 and because of this it has fallen into a catagory where people can say "The best way to do this is..." and have it actually be correct. The 'standard' build that we fine today is one used by all top players such as, Daut, TheViper, Doago, Jordan_23 etc etc

It is quite simple and here it is:

Villager 1 - food
Villager 2 - food
Villager 3 - food
Villager 4 - food
Villager 5 - food
Villager 6 - food
Villager 7- lumbercamp
Villager 8 - wood
Villager 9 - wood
Villager 10 -Lure boar
Villager 11 - Build a mill
Villager 12- berries
Villager 13 - berries
Villager 14 - lure boar
Villager 15 - berries
Villager 16 - wood
Villager 17 - wood
Villager 18 - food
Villager 19 - food
Villager 20 - food
Villager 21 - food

With this you should arrive in Fedual Age just like the pros.

then 6 on goold
and click up
