It was 2x fumes (both upgraded). It took me quite a few rounds to get the block to 999. I realized before then that there was no way I could alter the poison cycle. All I had left to draw were defensive cards so I could not alter the pattern.

(well, 2x Fumes+ or 3x Fumes). They might never synchronize -- would have to literally do the math.

Problem is, he's got 2x Noxious Fumes, so the poison is out of his control.

you could pass your turn to let the poison waste away and kill them after that
