Early Access Review
:EnnaSalute:

I have now P-ranked every stage in the game barring P-2 on Violent, P-ranked P-2 on Lenient (working on Standard) [EDIT: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that was incredible, got a Standard clear], got gold borders for every section of the game, and have probably sunk around twenty hours just into trying to P-rank P-2 on Standard.

Ultrakill is the whole package. Minus the fact that the game is in PRE-RELEASE. There is only minor gripes with this game, like 5-3's challenge making me want to scream in agony or the blood tunnel in P-2 being unironically the worst section of Ultrakill, that could even put a dent in how well this game goes.

If it runs on my ♥♥♥♥ college laptop, then it can run on a potato.

I only fear what P-3 will bring.

If I had a proper rating scale to give this game, it'd get a 6.5/10. But I can't do that, so, yes I do recommend people IF THEY HAVE A LARGE INTEREST.

I am not overly offended by P4's gameplay loop, but the game gets incredibly stale by the latter part of the game, the first optional final dungeon is probably the worst section gameplay-wise in the entire game, and the effort of doing everything to even get to the final boss, only for one of the least memorable boss fights possible... leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Everything else? Good enough. Main cast varies from excellent (Naoto, Teddie, Kanji) to what did they do to you in Golden cutscenes (Youske), and the side characters vary from the best in the world (Kou) to certainly existing (Nurse.) Combat made sense for a while, although the reuse of enemies absolutely wore its novelty quickly after the fifth Basalt enemy encountered with unique weaknesses. Once you get Megido and any level of Invigorate, encounters become trivialized, and the Chakra ring or Spell Master proceed to truly invalidate everything else remaining. If nothing else, it speeds the game up drastically when you no longer need to worry about the omnidrain enemies late-game.

Shuffle time truly ruined everything, though - I'm a grinder who will abuse every tool, even if I know it actively ruins an experience, and shuffle time just makes the player significantly more powerful than they have any right being. My favorite design-wise is Ippon-Datara, and I wound up by the endgame having a 99 in all stats, Megidolaon-Mind Charge + 2 AOEs my team couldn't cover, Invigorate 3 and Spell Master copy of him. The game became click Mind Charge->Heat Riser Naoto->Masukunda Kanji->delete button.

I'm sure people who aren't me will find more enjoyment out of P4G, especially if they aren't a farmer. For me, the game turned into a slog by the end, but I still have good memories of working through the early game and barely getting everything prepped for the True Ending.

Borderlands 2 is the quintessential looter shooter, redefined the entire game archetype, and promptly managed to outdo EVERY other title, including its predecessor and its future installments, in one fell swoop. The core gameplay is extremely solid and the skill trees manage to differentiate most of the characters enough to make you focus on one core weapon/manufacturer type - Maya and Gaige being the only two who that doesn't really apply to - and the enemies are pretty reasonable all things considered. RPG Loaders excluded.

If my play hours aren't enough of an indication, I am in love with BL2. I've gotten two characters (Gaige and Maya) to UVHM, am working on every other character, and then intend on clearing UVHM single-player with at least one character, probably Gaige. And I will have fun doing it.

I started playing, watched some replays for fun and saw 3 Eldlich players in a row, I love this game!

...and three years ago, I gave the game a negative review.

TF2 is absolutely in a cruddy state right now - bots are as prevalent as ever, and arguably are getting worse due to the number of them (even if they're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than in the past), game hasn't received an update in several years and is very likely to never get another serious patch, and the playerbase remains toxic as ever.

HOWEVER

Who gives a damn? TF2's still the same slapstick funny game filled with funny ragdolls, demopan, Anger snipers and excessively loud micspam that it always has been. Sure, to get a good game experience you either have to roll the dice on Valve official servers or jump into an Uncletopia server that usually is excessively tryhardy, but hey! TF2's still TF2. It's fun to load up and just dump all of your worries out the window, and there's very few other games like it in that regard.
