I never write game reviews, so this was unexpected for me as well. After searching online for a horror game that would freak me out to the levels of RE7 I came across "Scorn". Looking at only some images of the game I open it up to find an atmospheric-based puzzle game. I was really disappointed with this due to my expectations being placed on the opposite side of the fence. I would say that this game is made for a completely different type of audience that enjoys basic puzzles and plays games for the design and art.

I enjoyed the aesthetics of the game and how nothing was explained to me, but its really difficult to understand the UI and healing, after dying once I was able to grasp the concept of the healing so it wasn't the worst problem I had faced. When steam is saying that this is similar to Outlast and Doom I would say that this is completely misleading which is why I cannot write a good review on this game.

I have refunded it after playing just under 2 hours. The combat system is basic and the travelling throughout the game is too linear for a game based on exploration. It reminds me of Little Nightmares with not having to back-track at all. This game is unique and different so I suggest others to play the game if they had their expectations in another area than adrenaline-filled horror such as Outlast.
