Really good game. Tons of detail and lots of land to explore. definitely for anyone who loves to build and likes the architecture and history of Norse mythology. Once this game reaches its full potential its going to be a great game. My little brother loves playing this with me as well.

This game has great potential, there is tons of lore to be discovered about the Island and dilapidated style of villages is well done and effectively sets tone for the environment. The climbing mechanics are a very neat touch and expands the potential of exploration, it isn't glitchy nor does it make the game too easy. Plus it has a classic Uncharted Drakes Fortune vibe, which really speaks to my nostalgia.

I've gone as far as the "Study Room" mission and its been very fun. The hoards are super scary... They add a scary/exciting feeling which is a nerve that isn't really ticked from a lot of the new games (gonna finish the review later)

There are, in fact, settlements that need YOUR help. People are suffering attacks from ghouls, raiders, super mutants, militias, and wild animals. And you're going to sit there in your folding chair and let it happen???

The institute are creating a scare, while the people of the Common Wealth are not even 100% sure they even exist. Literally kidnapping people and doing Atom know what to them. Causing survivors to turn amongst each other; Family, friends, and ghouls

The Brother Hood Of Steel. A mysterious, organized militia, claiming to be people with peace and prosperity in mind, to clean and salvage whats left of the Common Wealth, and rid it of any threats and dangers to Humans. Some believe them to be selfish and do it for resources and constitute control. Some join their cause, and some believe that their focus on eliminating the Institute is... Inhuman.

The direct story telling in the game is okay... but there is a lot to be found or discovered about the lore that you can come across just by playing the main story. If you don't have a lot of time on your hands, it may not be the game for you. But otherwise its a decent RPG with few methods of completing the main story. There are tons of side quests, mostly personal(butting into peoples personal problems), insignificant, or unique item quests. But some quests (ie. DLC) explore the lore and whats left of Boston/Massachusetts after the "War".

This game allows you to build the "Chosen Survivor" that you want to be. Elusive, loud, tough, nimble, famous, infamous, caring, apathetic, selfish, selfless. The Game Play is fun and there are many different ways of defending your self. Guns, lasers, bats, swords, small explosives, and other things that range from extreme measures of annihilation to getting wet to death. And also the many variants of armor available. Not to mention VATS capability.
Supplemental things like Legendary effects, stat bonuses and rarity/peculiarity of weapons/armor make continuing the game after finishing the main story worth it. Never know what you may come across on your first play through.

The majority of interactions with NPCs are kinda weird and cliche. There's some missing verbal input between characters and the choices you are given as responses usually don't say what you'd expect it to say. But it's far from horrible.

There are plenty of bugs in the game that may make you lose interest. But I suggest downloading a mod that fixes bugs so you don't have to freak out when things don't work as intended. This does deactivate Achievements if that's something you are worried about.
