Dcs needs more training missions and it needs a different option from a frog foot, new players are not 99% going to keep playing when you shove them straight into the deep end with a frog foot and are going to lose interest in a unarmed Mustang.
Ok let me get one thing clear, I really love this game, but its not a inexpensive or easy one to get into, if you are looking for a chill flight sim for casual flights with your buddys or to just goof around and do stupid ♥♥♥♥ for fun, go to Flight sim X or Flight sim 2020 both of which can be found on steam.
I got into this game after watching a video from the youtuber Operator Drewski who told me that it was a hyper realistic flight sim that pushed the bounds of what was possible in someones home...that doesnt do it justice. Starting out when you just download it you get a Su-25 "Frog foot" and a unarmed training model Tf-51 Mustang, The mustang isnt much to talk about as its unarmed and is probably only going to be used once so for the purpose of my argument Im going to ignore it. The frog foot as a aircraft is not half bad Decently fast with plenty of options to kill ground targets its fairly balanced as a ground attack platform to kill anything from a small country to your neighbors annoying dog. The frog foot suffers however from a distinct lack of turning capability and ease of use for a new pilot especially one that doesnt have a shiny new thrust master setup that costs more than used honda accord. How is a new pilot supposed to understand how a radar works and how to hide from one if they cant even remember to pull up there landing gear after takeoff especially if they cant cant turn well to compensate.

A tutorial remake is needed to teach pilots who really want to get into this game a chance against the big boys in f-18s or su-33s that can and will kill you with out even trying. A Frogfoot is no match against a F-18 because it wasnt designed to be one, its a ground attack aircraft but the pilot training I get doesnt tell me that or even what is going to be shooting at me. If I was re making the tutorial I would start with ground school and the radio systems, and them move on to how to know which runway to go to and how to identify that from the air. Then I would move onto take offs and pattern landings afterwhich I would move onto a longer flight to a destination and a gun run or missile attack on UNARMED trucks. Then in a mock fight I would explain a AWACS or the russian exquivalent and how radar works and how to escape/use it.
After all of this would a pilot be able to hold his own against another rookie pilot.

In the end though this game is great but its really hard, and Im probably just salty that the f-16 is 80 bucks but core of the game is just really hard to access for most people and I think that just a few tweaks would really help.
