For once, Paradox released a game where the DLC is worth it.

It lives up to its reputation.

To whom it may concern,
this DLC to Dark Souls 3 takes you on a journey through Ariandel, adding quite a few new rather disturbing enemies (the better to slaughter).

Pros:
Two new bosses, one of which is rather unique. The other is just eh. I had immense fun fighting both.
Enemies with large health-pools, unpredictable movesets, and high poise make this challenging in the best of ways.
The ability to refill your estus flasks somewhere other than a bonfire is a nice addition.

Cons:
Extremely repetitive environment. Snow, snow, with a side of snow.
Short length. I completed this in about an hour, plus an extra hour to get the optional boss and all of the new items.
They don't have a lot of enemies, so they took the ones they did and made them absurdly difficult. The giant wolves in particular feel like it's impossible to get a correctly timed dodge.

#FixTF2. This negative review is deserved considering the game is nigh-unplayable right now.

This game, although short, was hilarious and put a smile on my face. It's a lot like the Stanley Parable Demonstration, where you're playing a game that isn't a game, and I'm still confused on what I just played.
I rate 8/10 for a game.
I rate 10/10 for a free game.

This is an amazing game, though tedious at some points. I feel that the part in Russia is a bit underwhelming. All you end up doing is waiting for your next oponent or training. Also #savethecat
