As a person who has at least 1000+ hours in Destiny (Before it moved to Steam therefore the mismatch on Steam playtime) and has completed every raid I would say as the game is free now go ahead and give it a try. If you love looter shooters I'm sure you will love it. Red War and Curse of Osiris is a bit bland on some parts but if you truly enjoy how the game works story aside I'd say you'd be safe to buy Shadowkeep (And forsaken if you are really willing to splurge)

At first I was not into the game but if you are patient and start to delve into the sidequests and the deeper part of the story, most of everyone will be hooked with this game.
