This is such a great freaking game. Sinking in a good chunk of my time to the demo, as painful as the first few levels were, getting through it with only needing 45 deaths feels great.

Also the amazing game over screens and humor is just top-notch.

It's got some Vsync issues, like when I had it turned on it didn't necessarily work.

Windowed setting was a pain because no matter how many times I tried to resize it, it would resort back into this tiny window. I hope these issues get slowly ironed out, or I should be able to force vsync via Nvidia display drivers.

Again, this looks like a really cool concept and I want to play more.

An HD remaster that doesn't screw with much, and adds just enough. It doesn't modernize the formula, which is fine considering the levels are mostly developed around the physics from the original, so really this is just the definitive way to play it. Especially if you've wanted to pick up the game but hate second-hand markets.

Fun game.

It's one of the very few Arc Sys games I can really get into simply because my friends all have it. It's not really as obscure to them such as Guilty Gear.. It's a fun fighting game, some links are too tight for my liking but that's okay. I'm glad it wasn't a rushed piece of crap, though I wish some characters had better assists like Bardock.

Last time I played it, it was terribly optimized. Please, next time in the future, optimize your stuff so lower-spec machines can handle it. I own a 1050, and I would've liked to play it even on low, but most of the sections even on low run terribly for me. I may get more powerful specs later on and see if it works but for now, I can't even bother with this game because of the optimization problems at least on my end.

THE ♥♥♥♥ JUST HAPPENED.

That's what most people's thoughts are when they finish DDLC. I for one happen to take a different side.

Most of the game's elements have had a little sour note for them for me.. But the ending act is absolutely amazing.

The ending act of Doki Doki has you literally choose deleting Monika in order to progress to the epilogue. It forces a choice onto you where you have to decide if you want to finally "kill" her. The Epilogue requires you to play through the beginning a third time, only to realize that the game wipes itself entirely.

For the most part, I think the narrative of the game is absolutely creative in execution. It's more than meets the eye and it embraces everything moe.

A couple of issues I had were some existing grammar issues (minor complaint I know, don't get my ass all over it), as well as there's no real.. True ending. I mean if you count the epilogue, only to do another thing.

Maybe it'd take away from the experience? It was a very good VN, highly recommend to others who want R.L. Stine-like quality horror (not as in terms of being scary, more or less how it's put together), but instead make him have Kawaii anime eyes, This game is definitely for you.

I do easily recommend it. Go into it with an open mind, and play blindly. The shocks will only make it more authentic.

This game was an absolute treat. The visuals, are just beautiful to always look at. It's realistic presentation knocks my socks off my feet. It felt like I was actually racing down the streets, The controls felt especially real when using a Dualshock 3 controller with SCPServer at the helm as your choice to play with (though I do recommend probably getting a Sim Wheel with Drive pads just to add the cherry atop the delicious ice cream). The controls on Keyboard, can legitimately go suck the big one, as the XInput support (while have been given me many troubles in the past until I figured out the issue of Kinoni taking over slot one (♥♥♥♥ you Kinoni by the way)) is simple and easy to understand.

They split it up into gamemodes, unlike all the previous ridge racers I've played. My favorite, honestly, has to be Shindo Racing. It feels like the older ridge racers, but has the feel of a good Gran Turismo Knockoff. That and you don't have to destroy anything just to get in first place. The drifting mechanic that has been established in the series has been really well-refined, and when I mess up a 90 corner turn, I can blame it on myself for trying to take the risky late drift instead of braking and hitting the corner. The amount of control feels free enough to move around willingly without the game fighting against you. It feels tight, It has the Jazz I'm all looking for in a good Realistic Racer, and I cannot highly recommend this game enough to people who are fans of Realistic Racing games like the Aforementioned Gran Turismo.

That said, If you liked Ridge Racer 4, take a shot and gander at this bad boy. See if you like it..

(Bugs)
Few, XInput-wise that is since it doesn't automatically support multiple XInput controllers (leading to some frustrating moments)
(Gameplay)
More solid than a block of ice.
(Presentation)
This was made in 2012? Damn.
(conclusion)
BUY IT ON SALE OR GET IT FOR FREE OFF A GOOD BUDDY

Don't pay full-price for this little treat. Wait for a 50% sale, or get a bud who has spare stuff lying around. Skip on DLC too unless you're getting all the DLC from a friendo.

This adorable 21 dollar game had my interest sealed for a straight 48 hours at most.

That includes completing all the bosses, and trying to get A ranks with the few S's lying around and one P Rank that's just standing there. Don't be fooled though, It's not as hard as some want you to actually believe. I've played even harder games, such as Metal Slug 3. Both are very Similar, but instead of mostly Run 'n' Gun, Cuphead's a Boss Rush, one of my favorite Genres in video games.

It's a spectacular marvel for the eyes as everybody and their Grandma would've told you already, but for the actual Bosses in question.. They're sadly a DC. Their attacks are overly telegraphed, meaning I can anticipate by seconds before they even dish out their worst.

The problem in the game being "Too Difficult" is that Gamers are so used to AI being stupid. This game has the most intelligent Boss AI I've ever encountered in a video game, even though they do have overly telegraphic attacks that are easily avoidable.

Bosses throw multiple curveballs however, but are fairly easy to dodge and can show where the hell you've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and where you need to go. One of my Favorite bosses, despite being one of the easier ones, is Captain Brineybeard. He's the mental stress test of how much visual information you can keep collected at all times, when to react, and how to handle the pace even faster and faster.

Brineybeard delivers one of the better challenges than say Rumor Honeybottoms or Sally Stageplay, since he hits all the right notes of being difficult, and just being an overall tool that only steps in your way if you have mastered the game. Not as many bosses encourage benchmarking tests of your reflexes and visual information as Brineybeard does, and that makes me sad for a couple reasons.

#1: The bosses are incredible to fight against

#2: The amazing level of difficulty

#3: It has some of the finest Jazz homages for a Jazz Soundtrack I've ever heard.

Let's talk about the Music, It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 10/10 Jazz composition from Kris Maddigan, and I applaud it for being so damn catchy. With the nods ranging from Cab Calloway's Man in Harlem, to even (tell me if this is a mistake, I'll happily edit it) Giant steps! It even tackles Samba music with Cagney Carnation's Floral Fury.

So with most things I'd like to talk about out of the way... How does it hold up?

It holds up amazingly, despite being such a younger indie title. It might even be considered timeless simply for the unique artstyle like Jet Set Radio.

My score for it? I think of it as a 94% out of 100% simply because of one factor..

The No-sound glitch exists.

I just wanna go over a few things.

Will we ever see the return of Dominations? I feel like they were removed in an update ages ago, I even did count how many kills it'd take to get a domination (4 kills in a row) and yet nothin'. I understand the game's mostly around bomb defusal but for stuff like deathmatch that's just sad.

On another note, will we get new Co-op campaigns or even actual meat for singleplayer content? I know it's not high on the priorities list either, I just want that to come back. That stuff was genuinely more engaging than any of the other gamemodes.

And lastly but not least, I love this game. I actually like how it's balanced with most guns, the M4A1 by far the most fun to date to use. I just also wish that the bots would be finetuned a bit and that difficulty selection doesn't have to be something in source's command line.

I hope to see what CS2 does bring, if anything new and exciting.
