Sony just announced on the Playstation twitter(X) account that they will not be going through with the PSN account requiring update. Its a great game and you should get it, simple as.

Early Access Review
Early Access just started as I'm writing this, so keep in mind that much of this is subject to change. I would recommend the game, however there are certainly a few logistical issues that need to be solved in terms of the automation. Ignoring that, as it is easily adjustable (dev has acknowledged many of these issues), the game is beautiful and relaxing. Something about finally getting the planet to the point that lakes form and plants can grow on such a massive scale is so very satisfying. The automation is complicated enough that it takes time to master, but it's simple enough that you don't have to place every single little machine like most automation based games. You could argue that takes some of the puzzle out of it, but there is more things to worry about that makes the game still require thinking. The methods of creating new buildings fits well with the rest of the automation, and you have to be sure to constantly managing other materials so you don't just waste all of it on building 10,000 factories. My last relevant thing to say I enjoy about this game is simply, hexagons. I like hexagons.

The following parts are the issues I've had.

There are some abnormalities with the world generation, as lakes tend to all be a similar shape, like an amoeba with tentacles, and there is very little biodiversity at the moment, but both of those are surely easy to solve as content continues to be added and modified.

The best example I can think of is the city growth system. In order to gain in population you must supply the city with a variety of resources, and at a certain point your population will decrease if you do not do so. One of these materials is concrete, which is apparently needed to maintain an entire city. I of course understand it is needed for growth, but its just very frustrating to see that i just barely don't have enough concrete production to get the growth margin, and therefore some of the expendable resources are being completely wasted with no way of recovery. Since their are ways to basically collect most of your resources in a way that is renewable you don't have to worry about resources getting basically evaporated, but with concrete there is currently no way to recover the resources dumped into the city. The solution to this currently is to advance to the point that concrete is not needed to maintain cities, but it can require a lot of resources and time to get to that point.

My last current gripe is that cities are not move-able at the moment and if you get unlucky, water may start to flow right through the center of your city. In some cases, such as mine, there isn't much you can do about it. Water found its way suddenly in the center of my city, destroying the buildings, and since it had nowhere else to flow it just fell stagnant, ruining a bunch of my buildings. Fortunately it only grew a little bit over time, and didn't cause too many issues in the long term, but there was no way for me to remove the water or to set up dams in order to redirect it. It is possible to redirect flowing rivers, but not stagnant water.

Again, I know the game has a lot of room to grow, so I hope the developers can see this and potentially find solutions to these minor issues. I look forward to the growth of this game and hope others can enjoy this game like me.

Update: This game is pretty slow in it's development, but already the developer has addressed some of the major issues. This could and should be a hit when it is finished.

I still haven't beaten it but even for as long as I have played it it still seems there are secrets that have not been discovered by anyone yet. The mechanics of this game and how chemicals interact with each other is super interesting and the wand customization system is also very fun to mess around with. Of course its early access right now, but I can only see it getting better as more secrets are revealed and more mechanics are created.

Amazing game, lots to do and discover, I still haven't explored all the map and I've been playing for over 500 hours as of writing this. Strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun (sometimes chill) game to play and some time to spare. Don't fight goats early btw.

I played like 15 minutes of this game so far and it felt AMAZING. Only reason I haven't played more is because my computer can't handle it and I wanted to make sure to grab it while its on sale and before my new computer gets in.

Pretty good game but can get pretty repetitive and grindy at times. Also the UI can sometimes be a little overwhelming but it isn't too hard to figure out in the end. I recommend finding a good multiplayer server to chill on (XeroSpace is a really good one but currently shut down if I remember correctly) or a good show/podcast to watch while mining and stuff. Definitely still feels like an early access game but in my opinion has great potential.
