A masterpiece in soap opera drama and men dancing in diapers.
Genuinely kicking myself for not playing this sooner.

Early Access Review
I thought this game was a meme, like many others, then I bought it and played it for six hours straight until one in the morning.
Underneath the edgy ****mon with guns exterior lies a fun monster-catching survival game with some genuinely impressive design decisions and loops. Hopefully the devs don't abandon this one like their clone of The ****** of *****: ***** of the ****.

Maybe not the best of the classic Sonic games, but it is my favorite. The time travel gimmick is exactly that, a gimmick, but the exploration aspect it adds is pretty fun. This is the same version as the one Origins uses too, but with Sonic's voice lines intact and the two JP/EU vocal themes turned into instrumentals.

I was really excited to play "the best 3D Sonic game of all time", but holy chili dogs that was a slog.

To start, you only actually play as Sonic (or Shadow) for a third of the game. Actually closer to a tenth of the game because of how long the other characters' parts are, but the speed levels with Sonic and Shadow are fun when they're fun. When they're not, they're endless unfair deaths because it turns out that a momentum based game from the Dreamcast era absolutely sucks with controls. Putting aside stuff like jumping to a rail next to the one you're on sending you flying across the map, some genius decided to map every action in the game to a single button. Brilliant.
The next gameplay type is the Tails/Eggman mech levels, which is probably the most blatant filler I've seen in a platformer. The mechs control incredibly slowly and clunky-ly, so all of the platforming is incredibly simple. You mostly hold forward and the B button to shoot homing missiles everywhere while spinning the analog stick like an idiot. I promise it's a lot less fun than even that sounds.
Speaking of not fun, how about spending upwards of twenty minutes on a single level looking through cramped spaces for treasure and hints which easily blend in the background? The Knuckles/Rouge segments almost made me drop the game. I don't know who thought this was a good idea--especially considering this game's awful camera controls--but I hope that they were moved to ANY OTHER DEPARTMENT.
The boss fights also suck, of course. There's maybe only one that I liked, and it wasn't one of the villian/hero character ones. No matter who you're playing as or fighting, they all devolve into spamming the B button while the enemy AI does the same.
The only reason that people really play this game is for the Chao garden, and while I can see the appeal it does require you to grind through the one or two actually good levels repeatedly to get items to level up your Chao. How that can be fun, I don't know, but I am definitely not going to find out.
I would mention the story and dialogue too, but even the cutscenes are so jank that I couldn't even understand them.

All in all I'm pretty disappointed with this "classic." I encourage all of the Sonic fans calling this a masterpiece to go and adopt a pet in real life, and for anyone else just to play Sonic Generations or something. Or get a dog too; it would be a much better and cuter use of time than playing through this.

The vehicles in this game are just as annoying as everyone says, but ten years later this is still a really active and pretty fun shooter. Especially for seven-eight bucks.

While World is a little slower in relation to Rise, that's not by any means a bad thing. The enviroment in Monster Hunter World is both beautiful and immersive, and the slow methodical approach to hunts provides a unique experience that few other Monster Hunter or games in general provide. I'd pick up the Master edition since it comes with the Iceborne expansion, and even though it's on sale often the thousands of hours you'll get from this game make it worth it at even full price.

Space trucking is freaking sick yo

Huge ups to the amazing developers who not only make this awesome space game, but put it out for free too. Thank you.

Really cool software, and pleasantly bug-free. I feel like I got my money's worth.
Anyways, spicy wallpapers are filtered out by default
