In short: While the game has its flaws and bugs. It is often very engaging and fun. And the story is pretty well written.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a fun action RPG where you live in a post apocalyptic world ruled over by big animal-like machines. The idea is that you craft weapons, you kill machines with those weapons, and the machines then drop goodies that allow you to make even stronger weapons.

Most characters that you meet have an unique personality and have understandable motivations. Most questions you will come up with during your play through will be answered by the end. And these answers get pretty disturbing at times.

One thing I dislike however is the pathing mechanics specifically around climbing and take-downs. I do not know what went wrong in the development. But at times its pretty hard to see where you can, and cannot climb. To the extend I have been jumping against rocks way too many times. Sometimes the game has problems understanding which path you want to take, even though the path has been specifically crafted by the developers for the main story line. You do not want to know how many Aloy fell to her death because the game didn't register that I wanted to slide off a cable in my game.

There is also a lot of cheese possible in this game. Especially the stealth mechanics are incredibly bugged in the best ways. It can cause hilarious situations. The trip caster can also be abused very easily to cheese certain boss battles. I however, think this is great and love it. But I can imagine someone else not liking it.

!Ruinarch is discontinued and is clearly not finished!
Hence I will not recommend buying it as of this moment.

Ruinarch is a small fun indie game that is basically an opposite colony sim. The idea of the game is to slowly corrupt the towns around you until they fall in disarray. From just chucking meteors on someones house, to poisoning crops, to establishing murderous cults, to spreading vampirism or lycanthropy. You are provided with multiple options to slowly make people incredibly miserable. Which then in turn fuels your ways to fulfill your elaborate plots.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. But after 7 hours of playtime I have seem to have run out of content to explore. For the price of this game you can buy multiple other games with more content and developers that didn't abandon it. It is such a shame that the developers abandoned this game since its gimmick is unique and a lot of fun.

Overall I would give this game a 3/10 due to its high price, low content and no future development.

Realms of magic is a fun RPG with sandbox parts thrown in. I see it as a mix between Terraria and a better Starbound. The dialogue can be pretty fun, the world is interesting. There is a bunch of combat customizability and the progression in the game can feel pretty rewarding.

The art in the game is pretty on point, the music is pretty good too.

There might be some quality of life things I'd like to see in this game. But the development team says it is struggling with spaghetti code. It is understandable that they cannot easily make such changes.

Odd Realm is a fun and calm spin on the base builder and story generator genre. It seems very similar to Dwarf Fortess in a lot of ways. Except it tries to be less tedious in ways, which sometimes loops around and makes things more tedious on accident.

When I first played the game I opted in for the tutorial. But I was very overloaded by the amount of information it gave me in a very short time frame. It got me kind of confused but I figured it out eventually all the same. I think the tutorial could use some work.

The game tries to make mining in z-levels easy and simplified. The downside to this is that one, especially if they are used to other games with mining in z-levels, could very easily make mistakes by mining down because they weren't paying very close attention. This can lead to some annoying situations with the first town you create, like accidentally causing your villagers to be trapped. It can take a while to get used to. But if you play for a couple of hours you will get used to it.

The menu's however can be quite puzzling and annoying. When you search for items you often have to scroll through the list instead of there being a search bar. It often feels counter intuitive and sometimes certain boxes that are mostly irrelevant to what you are doing(the job list) pops over the menu's you are using(job menu). I imagine this will be made easier and more intuitive in the future.

While the combat can take a bit to figure out, it can be pretty fun. There were moments that 2 groups of thieves and a pack of wild animals were attacking me all at once. And then on top of that some fish people tried to drag my humans into the deep to drown them. While stressful, it was an interesting situation and shows that the game can give you new (all be it sometimes frustrating) experiences that aren't actively punishing. After all, my little town survived the attack despite 75% of my people dying.

I am interested to see what the dev team will change in the game. This game has a lot of potential to become an easier, more chill experience than other games in the genre. Something that is sorely needed.

Even though I had a hard time understanding some of the mechanics when I just got into it, the game play and the amount of content within this indie game is absolutely astonishing. I have been a long time enjoyer of city builders and story generators and this one truly is the best one yet.

The game is quite good, but sadly it cannot run on modern hardware for reasons unknown. It somehow freezes every 10 seconds for a while and no matter how you change the graphics settings that fact doesnt change.

I have a computer that is supposed to easily run this game but sadly the developers dont want to put efford in fixing this.

I do not recommend this game to anyone with a modern PC due to the problems.

(yes, my old laptop can run this. but sadly, with brand new hardware in my desktop I can't run it at all. probably due to engine-hardware issues)

I have played Skyrim(the original) for a while now. I know almost all quests and even picked up making mods with the creation kit so I could make more gameplay. Skyrim is and was the first game where I was truly in awe of gaming, a world where I could roam about and do anything I want but it still feeling like its not auto generated like other games. For me Skyrim didnt scream "modding" that much as it did with others, the only things I really downloaded were graphics and gameplay overhauls.

I still can remember the first time I met Serana or when I tried to kill a giant at level 3 and failed. I still can remember when I thought it was a game just like any other and attacked a random npc due to boredom and the npc actually fought back.

But even tho im basically in love with how the game used to be I cant overlook what Bathesda did lately, they got their community for basically free, people that were fans and wanted to add things to the game for free. not because they thought gaining profit from it but because they wanted to share their experiences.

Bathesda for some reason doesnt understand what people want and doesnt understand that they, a once beloved studio, will die if they keep up with this.

But before I begin ranting for far too long I will write down some +pros and -cons of skyrim:
+A big world with a lot of gameplay
+A great community
+Lore
+Good DLC's (except the creation club and heartfire)
+Good quests
+Creation Kit

-All the attepts Bathesda is making to suck this game dry of anything good till only a dead husk of its former self remains
-Creation Club
-One of its DLC's adds almost nothing to the game (Heartfire)
-Combat is a little lacking
-The rediculous amount of bugs that could have been fixes by Bathesda but they never did

I would in the end give this game a 9/10 (ofcourse it would have been biased, since I am still in love with this game)

Now if we factor the creation club in it will end in:

0/10 never buy this game.
