Ana’s anti nade single handedly ruined this game and no one talks about it. They had to introduce an entire new character and kit to deal with it (it’s almost just as broken as anti and took 6 years to implement).

I guess the devs were too busy harassing women and making cosmetics then to actually create content and fix their dog game.

Get rid of anti and cleanse.

I’m convinced this is the only game that can hold a candle to the level of storytelling that Half life introduced over a decade ago. I was somewhat disappointed in the facial expressions (which half life 2 does much better) but the story makes you really feel invested in the characters you play as. Which seems to be incredibly hard to accomplish in video games nowadays.

The voice acting is incredible, especially Carl, which I was very disappointed to see he played one of the smallest roles in the game.

It’s sad to think the industry is moving away from video games like this, because if other studios could learn and build off of games like this we could have some of the greatest games ever made.

I’m afraid that this will be one of the last truly great story games for a very long time. Games like this do not come along often.

The directors commentary with Merle made me actually cry. Knowing how much she put into this game and knowing that she wasnt invited to be Alyx in HLX makes it all such a moving experience. The greatest video game of all time with the greatest cliffhanger of all time and it never got a conclusion off the ground. An experience you can't describe in words. It speaks for itself

Play through it and then replay it with the commentary. Riveting

Raised the bar so high for video games for me that now every single player game since feels empty...
