Rec Room is a really interesting case of a game. On the surface and judging by the visuals, it seems to be a game made exclusively for younger kids. Your first experiences may be joining the "Hub" of the game and having your ears bleed from the 5-year-olds going around and screaming at everyone and everything.

However, this is where having friends is a huge benefit. If you have a group of pals to experience the game with, it's a completely different ball game. Rec Room is made to surprisingly high standards of quality, from the physics engine, to the VR hand (and head?) presence, to the quite advanced and sophisticated circuit system. Additionally, playing with friends is quite frictionless, as the the game has Steam friends integration, as well as being available for mobile, PC & PCVR, Oculus VR, and both current and last-gen Xbox & Playstation.

However, the game is not without its faults. Namely, the cosmetic system is based around the in game currency of tokens. You can earn these through events, games, and daily play, as well as if you make a world with its own shop. However, the rate at which you acquire tokens for cosmetics can be quite slow. It seems like you need to log in and play many games each day to amass enough tokens for many of the clothing items, which isn't feasible for many. But, as it's purely cosmetics, this is a small gripe.

Overall, Rec Room is a somewhat underrated and overlooked classic for VR and otherwise. I'd try it out, and invite your friends!

Garry's Mod... pretty well-known game, whether you play it or not. It's an interesting case, as there's not many games like it. When you first open it and start a game, there's not all that much content. Some basic construction blocks, some assets from Half-Life 2, and not much else. At first, I was saying to myself "That's it?", but came to find what made GMod so unique.

The community. The amount of content available to download is astonishing. There's never a dull moment in GMod, because if you get bored, just try some new mods.

Wanna role-play? There's a huge community around entire role-play worlds with an economy, and more.

Wanna fight? There's combat servers galore, from standard Half-Life 2 style combat, to Star Wars, to almost anything else.

Wanna build? A massive community of talented builders and asset creators awaits. Build anything you feel like.

There are NO limits to Garry's Mod and it's potential. A truly unique game with an active community almost 15 years later. And the price? If $10 is too pricey for you, it regularly drops to $5. It's a no-brainer.

Plus, a spiritual successor to GMod is in the works, using the shiny new Source 2 engine, developed by Garry Newman himself. Give S&Box a look, I'm personally really excited for it.

Not for the faint of heart, without mods at least.

Simple, clean TRON racing. Amazing, 10/10.

A flipping insane arcade game, and absolutely worth it. Make sure to check out FX in the workshop and on YouTube, he makes mods and hilarious levels.

It's very relaxing. Add a few mods in for graphical enhancement and it's super fun. I will say I'm not a fan of SCS putting new states as DLC when there are so few to begin with. That's my opinion, though.

Don't let the release date fool you, this game has a surprising amount of content. There's an extensive research tree, lots of buildings and logistics, and is generally a fun game. The graphics aren't amazing, but give it some slack considering the time this came out in. There's a great sandbox feeling as you explore the map, figuring out the most economical way to build tracks and haul cargo. For the price, this is a fun game to play.

A fun but not-so-intuitive space simulator that never takes itself seriously. Between the silly little green Kerbals and the realistic but still attainable physics, KSP is a game for people that are willing to invest more than just 30 minutes into a session. The game has endless possibilities, a passionate modding community, and something most people with a functioning brain (which, let's be honest, isn't everyone) can enjoy with practice, patience, and perseverance. I've enjoyed learning about the various parts of the game, and it just keeps giving. The gratification from major feats is fantastic. From your first launch to a satellite orbiting THE SUN, it's worth every penny.
