If you're wondering what my profile picture is from, its by an artist called Louis Wain who is speculated to have suffered from schizophrenia. He painted a lot of cats but over time his conditioned worsened and the cats started looking more and more abstract. Eventually, you couldn't really identify the cats as cats and they looked more like a kaleidoscope or some sort of ethereal being.
The painting in my profile picture was when his condition was worsening and the kaleidoscope effect started to come in.
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder in which there is too much dopamine present in the brain and is characterised by hallucinations, delusions and disordered cognitive function.
