Man what are the devs doing

I loved this game so much when it game out. As time went on, it seemed to lose a bit of its soul more and more to a point where I would say it is unrecognizable from its original vision. I get the drive to play this game on a weekly basis, but I have to tell myself that I shouldn't. Every time I come back to it, it just hurts me more and more to see what I became compared to what it was.

What started out as a tactical fps with simple interactions and precision gunplay has turned into at its core, a hero shooter. Old maps were either forgotten or replaced to make way for more esports style maps rather than letting them coexist. The term rework was just the buzzword to kill the old soul of the game to make way for the new one. I don't doubt that the game is more popular now and overall has been more profitable for ubisoft as a result. The steam charts really say it all to be honest, the game is more popular than its ever been really. With every change to make the game more viable as an esport, it lost its charm it had.

Genuinely, I wish I had never played this game. I wish I stuck to my fighting games and never gave this a chance. Now every fps game I play leaves me with a hole that can never be satisfied again, because old siege was something entirely different. Fast, Simple, but game changing, pushing the boundaries of the tactical fps genre. Now its just another slow paced convoluted fps that just copies the norm.

Once you get dash, everything instantly becomes infinitely cooler. I'm not even mad when I die, its just...fun.

I enjoy it, recommend it, and encourage you to get everyone around you hooked. Then you'll have a grand ol' time playing this fast paced fighters. Now with an easy to learn char too!
