This game surprised me. It felt like there was no game play in trailers so I was a bit skeptical. But as soon as I started playing it, all my worries disappeared.

The combat is really fun and challenging while feeling fair even on higher difficulties (since they don't just increase the health of enemies and call it a day). The abilities are fun to use and parrying is extremely satisfying.

The platforming is also great, I wouldn't say its perfect because I have had a few moments where it wasn't completely clear where to go and felt like my attacks (for hitting switches) missed when they shouldn't have. But all in all it feels great and fluid.

Everything else has been great so far, the art style, the music, the sound effects. They suit the game well and don't detract from the experience.

The only complaint that has only happened a few times is the camera movement. Sometimes it is too fast and moves too much when you are in the middle of a fight so it ends up being hard to track your character. But I don't think it hurts the game too much and it is still a really good game.

Honestly, one of the most underrated roguelites. It is not only fun, it looks good, it sounds good, the variety of weapons and weapon combinations is endless and it is very skill based. The first major expansion just came out and it is definitely worth checking out, now more than ever.

This game really surprised me. I had played Jotun, the first game by the same developers, and I really did not enjoy it. I felt like the controls were clunky and the world was completely empty, running between the various bosses was boring.

With Sundered however, I found that the controls were way more responsive. The combat was enjoyable and the platforming was challenging at times. It reminded me a lot of Hollow Knight. I definitely enjoyed this game and would definitely recommend it to people that enjoy metroidvanias. The skill tree in the game was expansive but it didn't ever feel like I had to grind to get enough points to unlock the skills I wanted. The bosses were also very fun to fight.

To top it off, the art of the game is absolutely amazing and the soundtrack was pretty good as well.

I hate and love this game at the same time...

It is such a simple concept that is surprisingly fun and made me just keep trying over and over again. Somehow the developer managed to take the simplicity of a rhythm game and change a single thing to make it a hundred times harder and I love it.

The music is also fantastic and just adds to the enjoyment I got out of the game. If you like rhythm games or even games like Super Hexagon: Games where each life can be either very short as you die almost instantly or really long but just not long enough to beat the level so that you are forced to try again. Then you will like this game.

While the game has only 5 levels. They are very difficult, I still haven't unlocked the last level yet. However, on top of that, the steam workshop is slowly filling up with more and more levels for you to enjoy and get frustrated with.

While this game isn't bad, it has quite a few issues that do take it from being a good game to just being an ok game.

The story isn't too bad as it is quite heartwarming and to me it was interesting. At least interesting enough for me to want to find out what happens at the end. The music in the game is also really nice.

Now the gameplay and puzzles aren't that bad however the controls can be quite finicky and the camera has its moments where it is just a pain. The gameplay itself is rather decent however a lot of the puzzles involve platforming and the fact that the controls aren't that great, it makes the platforming sections more annoying than they should be.

My other issue with the game is the length. It took me about 1.5 hours to complete and for the price of the game, it seems a bit short.

So with the major issues aside, the game isn't that bad and it is maybe worth trying if it is on sale.
