Survival mode is immersive and very hard, you need to learn the Amazon to survive because literally everything can kill you and will you are not safe anywhere. it awards taking your time as sprinting attracts predators and wears your energy and 4 macro nutrients down (health) and having to forage to make bandages and fire to cook and boil water, save your seeds and grow plots and now you can feed vegetation to animals to produce fertiliser and meat but all takes time and planning. exploring is fun and rewarding and did i mention the game looks great.
But and a Big but The Story Modes is hysterical the jungle has more character than Mia and whoever the ♥♥♥♥ the fact the dialogue is horrific, everything in survival is optional (even survival) but story everything is laid in a concrete path and honestly ruins the game. Progression in campaign is only done by doing drugs which is funny but immersion breaking because the trip scenes are badly designed and REQUIRED you cannot proceed if you don't do them. The premise of the story is all about your wife which is lazy considering how well designed the rain forest is its disappointing to see the story lack the essence that was captured in the survival mode. Dont play the story if you dont like hardcore survival games you wont like this one bit but if you like cheesey linear archaic survival titles then your in luck the story is for you.
