the game launched to a rocky start but I saw the game beyond the shell, so I played for a while, got invested in the story, but could really never finish it. very dull systems kept me from coming back very often..

that's all gone now. I honestly think this is my favourite game now. the skill trees and everything else they did with the base game update is extremely positive.
highly highly recommend this game!
sooo much fun

The gift that keeps on giving.
heavily recommend against this game for pvp purposes.
recently kicked a 2070 super on medium settings for "low frame rates" due to some software updating, and banned me.
wish they would ban the 0.5bar connection players from glitching all over the map, over people who had a software update auto trigger.

cherry on top, the hit registration is somehow worse than it was three years ago

How do I refund?
Game is clunky, hidden story, boring game

Edit: deleted rogue, made a generic "strength and health" character, game went from overbearingly punishing with a nonexistant story, to a Mario-level difficulty (that's giving it more credit than is due, I die more in mario) with still nonexistant story

-The game looks decent. no complaints there. Nothing genuinely detracts from the visual experience, but nothing really pops out with any wow factor. Scenery shots are akin to Guild Wars 2.
-Gameplay is smooth at a solid 60+ (no option to increase beyond 60 for whatever reason. I blame lazy ports as always.)
-Keyboard controls are well done but are confusing to learn at first since the game kept the xbox button prompts.
-Camera control is Heinous. Utterly Heinous. It gets me killed more often than my choices do. Neither Camera setting helps.

---------HashTag Spoilerssssssssssss-------------

Story seems reminiscent of Vanilla Destiny, if the Grimoir cards were in the game.
I'm sure it has an interesting story, but as of right now all I know is I made a character, something about embers, maybe a fire. important people? big people. big people for sure.
kill things, some things have big healthbars, maybe they're the big important people, why am I killing them? How do I know to teleport to a new area? nobody tells me it's just: "here's a new area good luck"
also not sure why everything is a zombie. Like. Everything.
maybe the first two had a bunch of story and this game's just: "you probably already played the other two games and already know what's going on"

HMMMMMMM

It's a fun game once you pick the easy character, or figure out parrying works because oh my. parry = max estus at boss. Still feels clunky as heck. Attack recovery is... oh boy. at least this game is difficult because you are allowed to play it. I am so sick of developers claiming difficult status when the only reason you die in their game is because you got stun locked and died 15 minutes later after their enemies erode your armour with water.

but seriously what the heck is goin' on in this game?

TL;DR: fun for a few hours, but gets boring fast. A very typical modern "hard" game. worth $5, not $30. buy on sale, don't expect anything special.

Extremely simple, low skill cap. the only reason it's "hard" per se is every single enemy immobilizes you in some way in the last few levels, it's not hard, it's annoying and eventually just makes what begins as a decent experience boring and dull.

the first few hours you have with this game will be great. you get some friends together, go solo, whatever floats your boat and it's all fun, beat it a few times and you start to realize that you can get max level by floor 4 and nothing can even damage you when you have beginning armour, and you're basically invincible when you have higher level armour.. plus add in that there's life steal tomes... it's just a matter of time till either you win or the enemies stun-lock you enough that you get annoyed and just quit.

overall a fun experience, but it gets stupid really fast as is the norm with all the recent games coming out.. a game isn't hard because you make the player un able to influence the flow of battle, games are hard because the player CAN infuence what's happening. this game just perpetuates the stereotype "hard" games that have been released over the past few years and it's becoming tiresome. Honestly just go play dungeoneering in runescape it's a much more in-depth experience.
