You kill bugs and robots to liberate planets on a community-wide level (don't expect your squad to have much of an impact with thousands of players across the world having to complete the same missions to make any liberation progress). You spread democracy through means of mass-destruction and an endless defense budget for a wide-variety of support. If you've ever played Battlefront 2 (and enjoyed it), then this is a game for you.

However.. The game comes with a slew of bugs and problems that several players across the community are experiencing. Such as, "nGame Guard" problems, meaning they cannot load the game because one of the many programs this game comes with fails to load, for whatever reason that's caused by. Connectivity issues between you or the game's play servers. You could have the best internet on the planet and still run into this issue (I have a pretty good connection and I still run into this problem). Most troubleshoot strategies or potential fixes that you find on YouTube do work, but most of the time they don't. Mind you, these problems not only stem on PC, but so far players from PS5 have had similar problems with even less strategies or fixes to try.

If you have good patience and you're able to spend hours to troubleshoot a game that costs $40, then I recommend this game. If you're like me and have very little patience, and you do not want to spend hours to troubleshoot a $40 game, then this game is not for you.

Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is amazing. But the trouble that's needed to get to the gameplay part just isn't worth it. If there was better testing and better software involved, this game would have my upvote. But until these slew of problems are resolved and the game actually becomes playable, it has a downvote.

They have yet to resolve my issue, and now my friends who used to be able to run the game no-problem are having similar error messages, or get the on-startup black screen like so many other negative reviews have mentioned. I don't condone review bombing a perfectly good game but when the community is this outraged, it's understandable. Many have spent $60 on the additional DLC's and have yet to gain access to the game. If you've seen the game on TikTok, yes, the gameplay is amazing. But, the different errors outweighing the actual gameplay make this game unenjoyable.

A few days ago they released an official announcement stating that they "will not remove idle players." With 450,000 concurrent players and just over 10,000 players that are idle 24/7, this really puts a hold on the server "queues," forcing thousands of other players to wait for an unhealthy amount of time just to get into the game and crash, or have unplayable missions.

For those wondering (I've gotten a few private messages) whether or not my issue is fixed or if they've even addressed it - There has been unofficial news from community managers, social media managers, and Q&A testers, but nothing yet has been mentioned by actual developers of the game. Support forums via their Discord[discord.gg] have been marked as "Under Investigation" for over a week, while others are marked as "In Progress." The developers have their priorities and it's very apparent that the one that affect user connectivity is not one of them. I'll update this regularly if any news comes by.

Edit 02/22/2024:
Two new patches since my previous edit to this review and neither patch have done anything to resolve my issue. I've put in for a refund. The one hour of actual gameplay was amazing. The other two and a half hours of negotiating and trying to get around my error was not. I'm not going to keep a game around that doesn't work. I've received nothing from their support staff about how to fix this issue, zero recognition for this issue, and zero insight to a possible cause for this issue. If you end up having a similar problem, don't bother looking for support, just refund the game. Don't waste your time on the same path as me.

If you're looking for fast-paced first-person shooter, then this is your game. Think of Call of Duty mixed with actually decent graphics and proper physics that don't make your computer explode. You'll have the similar sweaty experience as you would in Call of Duty, just lacking the cheaters.

Some guns still need some re-balancing, as the guns that you'd use in close quarter (shotguns & pistols) are somewhat poor in damage, and the guns you'd use in long range or medium range (snipers & assault rifles) are extremely powerful in close-quarter combat. If you're good with controlling varying recoil patterns, you should have no problem hitting your shots.

There is no in-game text chat, so if toxicity gets on your nerves easily, then you don't have to worry about text chat, and voice chat is a Push-to-Talk only experience, and you can only talk with your team. 90% of the time you'll run into random teammates that either don't have microphones, or won't talk at all but will listen to your call-outs.

TL;DR: THE FINALS is Call of Duty on steroids and actually functions quite well on low-end devices. It's fun if you play it with friends, and it's a good way to kill time with short rounds on easy to understand gamemodes. It's free, give it a try.

Having this game for a decent amount of time now, it's actually not terrible. I bought it thinking it'd be another ETS2 game, but boy was I wrong; With several jobs to choose from, custom trailers with unique customizations, trucks with their own customizations, as well as DLCs to further these customizations, this game is really just a realistic sandbox for the player to control. This game takes time and effort to play, but when you play with friends, the time and effort you put into it nearly disappears as the more driving you do, the more fun you have.

It's also nice to see that the developers are paying much more attention to the game, as well as streaming themselves playing it to show the community that they're actively paying attention to the game, and always looking for room for improvements.

With minimal flaws, American Truck Simulator is easily one of the better driving-focused simulators on the Steam market. I strongly recommend giving it a try, even if you've never played a simulator like this before, or any simulator in the past. With the convoys ability, you're able to play with 7 other people and have an absolute blast if any of those people are your friends.

Overall, ATS is definitely an amazing game, and strongly recommended.

Gotta have a good computer for the game to not ♥♥♥♥ itself, otherwise it's a pretty good game with some pretty good physics.

Fun. Especially when you join the right server. Prehistoric Hotel is definitely the most chill.

i've had this game for an unhealthy amount of hours (yes i'm aware there's people with tens of thousands more). it's fun if you join the right servers, most are still filled with little children who are deadset on thinking fire-hose racism is hilarious.

get the game. it's worth it.

ouch, one headshot oh look another, oh shiz im sooo sorry mate, owww owww owww owww bandages? sorry can't help you bud... DEAD. Fu*k. This game is just outirght Beautiful and Sexy. I love this game because it remnds me of The Walking Dead a litle bit.
I do recommend this game because:
-Has good Graphics
-Lots of Gore, the way i like it
-Guns and Zombies.
-Reminds me a little of te Walking Dead

-No Health Bar, "where the health bar how i know what my health is? DEAD
-no Realistic physics
-No option for Friendly Fire enabled/disabled
$$$what really is there to a game like this though, doesn't have to be the best, doesn't have to be free. It just needs to be good. good enough to make people WANT to play it. you want people to think this is a great game to play. You don't want people thinking this game is a peace of garbage, it's just like minecraft 1.0 Graphics.$$$
