Genuinely the pinnacle of action game combat. Three of the four playable characters have more depth, flexibility and freedom of expression in their movesets and abilities than every weapon and spell in the entire FromSoft library combined, and the last one is still fun because he reads William Blake poetry while his pet bird, panther and giant shadow monster destroy everything in the background.

If there's any combat system better than this, then I haven't found it yet. I probably never will. More games should let you kill demons in slow-mo by throwing a cowboy hat at them and striking a pose.

I rate it 10/10 simply based off of the Hammer's charged sliding attack alone. I don't think there's any move in gaming more satisfying than that.

This is probably the most underrated FPS game I have played in years. It's a shame that a title with such high qualities for story, visuals and gameplay has gone relatively unnoticed by so many. I highly enjoyed the story without prior knowledge of the Darkness series, and the stylish presentation combined with the unique tentacle controlling mechanic makes combat super fun. Those takedown animations were a little too long, though.

Co-op is a fun bonus and there's a New Game Plus mode as well, which is pretty cool. I have no real issues with the game other than small flaws. I just wish the first game was available on PC. Come on, when are you guys gonna port that thing?

A surprisingly complex and challenging strategy game lies beneath the slick minimalistic visual design, and that means Monaco is easy to learn but hard to master. You'll have to work together with your crew to pull off the perfect heist, but it's just as fun to watch the whole plan crumble when someone slips up. Charming music and a well written story help drive that feeling of stealth, mischief, and when the situation arises, madness.

The fact that I had never played Deus Ex until 2016 and still enjoyed it is proof of how well this game has aged. Sure the graphics are ugly, but the intriguing story, exceptional level design that allows you to complete your objective in many different ways, the awesome soundtrack and the replayability make Deus Ex still as entertaining as it must have been all those years ago.

A worthy sequel to one of the most important games of all time, and an engaging and atmospheric action adventure title too.

When I first tried this, I really didn't like it. I died over and over and didn't see much to it. However, I had just finished playing Counter Strike, a much faster game, so I thought I might have been playing it wrong.

Well, I was right. This game doesn't expect you to go out and blast people like a madman. It's very strategic, expecting you to plan your movements, hide behind cover and use shortcuts and alternate paths to flank your enemies. Not too interesting yet, right? But heres what the games biggest strength is: the team play. Each class has its role, whether it's taking out snipers and machine gunners or dealing massive close range damage. You're supposed to work together in your mission, which is either planting bombs or capturing points.

Combine this with a lovely WWII theme, simple but unobtrusive and pretty environments and the coolest main menu music I've heard in a game and this is a great multilayer shooter, almost feeling like a cross between Team Fortress and Counter Strike.

Also this remains the only Valve game so far feature iron sights. It's quite special.

Running With Scissors released this controversial mess of a game a long time ago, and it continues to be a fun way to relieve stress. The game has a style of humor that is fun for the most part, though a bit dated at times, and gives you tons of ways to kill your foes because, let's be honest, killing people is the definitive way to beat this game, though you can be a pacifist if you want to. Along with the base game, which lasts for 5 days, you have the Apocalypse Weekend expansion free of charge, which adds 2 more days. You can merge these to blend their weapons and stories together in a separate mode.

Along with this LONG campaign, there's workshop support, achievements and trading cards. This is a remarkably full featured game. Now, we have all that, but what if I told you the main character talks Duke Nukem style and has the coolest voice I've heard in a game since... Duke Nukem.

Postal 2 is a mostly funny, expansive and enjoyable game with a bunch of supportive and friendly developers as well. I'd say get it. Its cheap, so there's not much to lose.

It's good old Counter-Strike. Think of it as a cross between CS 1.6 and Global Offensive; looks better than 1.6, runs better than GO, and it has achievements and stat tracking.

If I had to say which of the two classics (Source and 1.6), I'd say this one.
