Great game, great sounds, great gameplay, tons of customization, variety of guns etc. etc.

A lot of connection issues for the moment but it will change for better in the coming days for sure

super fun game, highly recommended, plays just like battlefield.

Pros:

-Lots of action, especially in 127 vs 127
-Very satisfying gunplay
-Not a big learning curve
-Nice maps
-Plenty of tools/classes for your own play style (a hammer, mines etc.)

Cons:

-Too grindy
-night maps arent as good as day maps imo

I am sure it had a messy start but I am definitely enjoying it right now.

I played it through EA Play not to take any risks but I am actually going to buy the game now

An amazing game. It will blow up.

Needs big servers just like truckers mp where the AI doesn't exist.

Update 2023: We have a server that is active which is good. The game needs more visibility and more updates/DLC then I have no doubts that it will be super popular.

Extremely fun for the first hour. Had me lauging really loud, it is silly asf.

Pros:

-Sound effects are great (tetrisish)
-Cosmetics are awesome, There are a great variety of customisation options, even with the default ones (free)
-Art style is cute, quirky and fun
-There is some RNG with the team matches, but it is acceptable

Cons:

-The issue is that it gets repetitive very fast. You play the same maps over and over. If the maps were randomly generated or they just simply designed more maps, it would be a fun experience for the hours to come.

Right now i am torn between keeping the game and refunding it. Or it might just be a better idea to purchase to game at a later date when they have released more maps and cosmetics if you are into that sort stuff.

Edit: Ended up keeping it

One of those 'easy to learn, hard to master' games. Reminded me so much of TF2, which is a massive thumbs up from my side. If you are a casual player like myself, you will enjoy this one as a match tends to last between 5-10 minutes. There are plenty of classes, 45 to be exact. So the game has plenty of replay value.

The games are definitely exciting, i have had plenty of rapid heartbeat moments especially at the 'king of the hill' mode. I can see myself playing this game alot in the near future. Definitely recommended.

40 Hour Edit: The game kind of got boring at this point. Pve is limited, kill skeleton, kill boss, carry the loot to the ship, sell the loot at the next outpost. Still a good game but doesn't make me want to play it anymore. Another deal breaker for me was the lack of pvp in adventure mode in some of my sessions. While I would get to fight 4-5 different ships in a 3 hour gaming session, I would see no other players in my session the next day, which is kind of boring. If they increased the server capacity to 32-36 (right now is 24), I reckon it would be more of an enjoyable experience. It is kinda a lot of too repetitive- pveish at this point for my liking but recommended regardless, haven't had this much excitement in a game since a year or two.

Actual Review:

this is an amazing game, well worth its price.

-You will get to play as a pirate playing different instruments. there are 3-4 different instruments and the music syncs when all your crew play different ones! You will get to choose between 4 different weapons. Your sword (compulsory) or a pistol, shotgun or a sniper rifle.
-You will discover new islands, new biomes. You will get killed by skeleton pirates (they have different variations and they could be quite harsh and spooky). You will have pleasant and horrible surprises through your journey between the islands, monsters and fineass loot per se.
-You will have intense moments over loot, your heart will race through epic moments. You will learn how to fight.
-You will have sea sickness after you turn off the computer.
-The splash sound as you jump into the water is extremely realistic, you will feel wet and see the bubbles like you jumped from a rock in real life.

-You will be insulted a lot as you could hear other crew's mic chats when you dont have much distance between you and them.

Some side notes:
-Graphics are fortnite-ish and cartoony.
-Customisation of the characters is alright, you can have pets which are interactive and they will dance to the music you make!
-You absolutely need a mic and this is not a casual game where you could enter and play for 30 minutes and disconnect (unless you are playing solo). Travelling between locations usually take around 10-15 minutes.
-Game is running solid 60 fps+ on i7- 4790k- gtx 1080 @1080p

I am not a fan of long reviews so i will keep this one short and sweet:
Firstly, dont let the turn combat system put you down, it is actually pretty entertaining and fun to engage. Makes you think as much as you want so you get even better outcomes than some sort of real time combat.

Game is very immersive and atmospheric. It is pretty obvious that they spent quite a bit of time designing the environment. Visuals are pretty and eye candy at times. Also, attention to detail is in a pretty good scale. Story is decent and so as the lore. I am actually curious about the end. Music of the game is really good and I still listen the tracks when I am at work.

Progress is quite satisfactory. They included many different play styles, so you will find the one that will suit you. Another thing I liked is that there is freedom in building the characters skillwise. I think your companions are also pretty interesting when it comes to their stories.
If you liked Witcher 3, you will like this game (in my situation at least). I have never thought I would like an isometric game yet here i am wanting to play more despite the fact that i gotta go sleep now :D

Day of Infamy is totally a great game despite early access, has quite a lot of moments which are really intense which makes the game really fun overall.

The atmosphere makes you feel like you are battling in World War 2. From trench runs to ''strong accents'' make you feel so.

However, more maps and nations should be added like the Russian Army and its weapons like PPSH 42

Gun sounds are satisfying and realistic just as we already are familiar from Insurgency.

Voicing is successfull. Adds a great deal to excitement when you hear an opposing army's soldier ''mg guys mg'' close to you.

Good community. Game is mostly fast paced, so noone will ♥♥♥♥ with you. Yet, they will expect you to play according to the objectives.

Maps are really good , still need a lot more though.

If you raised yourself playing CoD1,CoD2 and CoDUO, this game is for you and you 'll like it very much as both games share a lot in common.

Devs are also working on the game releasing occasional updates, so looking forward to get my hands on to the new updates!

Definitely recommended.
