this was a beautiful game but unfortunately made me very depressed

This was actually an amazing game. I have to say, it makes a bad first impression, but when you actually get into it and start figuring out what you need to do to progress, it's actually extremely interesting and scary. There is a lot more to this than meets the eye, don't drop it after five minutes. Give it an hour, and if you still don't like it, it may just not be for you.

It's frightening, the art is high quality, the music is thematic, and the story was honestly completely unexpected. I only started to suspect what was going on around half way through.

great game!

The best gaming experience I've had since I played Undertale. This game invokes an emotion of fear and unease that is hard to find. You won't see many jump scares, or deliberate pure gross out. All you'll find is the terrifying inner workings of a broken psyche. A story through a kids mental state to learn the truth of his grief.

In addition to the scary stuff, the game is full of charm. The kind of charm an RPG is built on. The characters are funny and relate-able, the environments and town areas are full of life, and the monsters all feel like they have a unique personality or characteristic. The earthbound inspiration is obvious, but I felt a lot of subtle Mario & Luigi inspiration as well.

It's a game that keeps you thinking about it well after beating it. I still have an alternate route to play through in the game, but my experience with it so far has been nothing less than perfect. I'm honestly expecting it to be my game of the year. Do yourself a favor and pick it up, the game is worth the price, I can easily see myself getting more than 50 hours out of the game.

Undertale. To be honest, before I bought this game I was quite skeptical. I wasn't sure what the appeal was, so what you can spare your enemies. Why would you want to do that? What I didn't account for was the fact that if you were going the "typical" RPG route you would have to kill all of the important story characters -- and not just the bad ones.

I started with the true pacifist, because I learned that after the Genocide route you would be unable to get the same exact ending. Also, I would get more emotional affect from the genocide route. So I completed the pacifist route, and got the most amazing ending. And then of course I had to do the Genocide Route.

And before I felt like destroying my desk from the sheer unfairness of some of the bosses, the emotional affect was large and there were times I just wanted to stop playing and go die in a hole. The dialogue had changed from my first playthrough, making me feel even more guilty for what i was about to do.

Overall, the combat is great, although it can get a bit dull. The true colors of this game fly from the True Pacifist route, which I would seriously reccomend doing that route first. Many of the things in the Genocide will not mean much to you I believe.

Seriously, the games ten dollars. Just buy it!

DO NOT BUY. Game is broken, abandoned, and littered with glitches.
