About 1-2 years ago this game started to force itself into a direction that I personally and many others did not like at all. But things have evolved for the better and the game is in the best spot it has ever been. These will be the golden years of PoE.
No other game even compares to the vast amount of content and variety of possible play styles.
Today it is 10/10, would play again.

Great game, though I've played so much of it by now all I feel is the grind. Healing is a b**** in this game.
Tons of content, nice humor here and there (Beep!), a super steep learning curve and a unique atmosphere make this game what it is.
Oh and bugs. But mostly Beep.

Early Access Review
Came back after years, did a full sandbox run to world domination. Borderline unplayable without mods and even with its just all the same things over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again until you conquered the entire map.

Warband was more clunky, but this Bannerlord is way more janky.

I played a metric f-ton Warband and Bannerlord multiplayer too, usually I easily topped the scoreboard every match. But the problems it had back then are still here now: every weeaboo and their mother votes for khuzait so every match is cavalry hell, the og naked 2h players from Warband have thus long abandoned this game. Servers barely reach 100 players, there is STILL no free for all and people by now have figured out how to absolutely abuse the "physics" in this game.

Overall I can hardly even give this a 5/10, it's fun for a few hours and then it turns into the same old ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grind and cycle and never changes.

Just reminds me of how the coding of Warband's Viking Conquest dlc was on release, the devs have neither the skills necessary, nor the passion to fix this game even after 4 years.

If you've liked Warband it's worth a try but don't get your hopes up, otherwise do not buy.

Get the Night of the Raven expansion, ignore your concerns over the fighting system (you will get into it), enjoy!

PS: I played this game hundreds of hours before steam even existed and am currently using the mod starter again, which steam cannot track. Also there is a vast amount of mods, not modding the actual story, but instead bring up their very own story, sometimes ranging to 40 hours, basically a full game.
All in all I've probably got around 500+ hours on this game, there even were multiplayer mods. My sibling played it even more than I did, so thank you Piranha Bites for this precious gem :)

Also somehow my current version glitched out and I can no longer see enemy life bars, but I see it more as a feature, since I've played it many, many times over :D
