The kenway fleet minigame is broken. but the rest of the game is pretty great. A few other glitches but overall very decent gameplay and i love the pirate-y vibes.

Let me start this review by saying that this is an amazing game but i have found one awful flaw that ruins the whole experience.

The story is captivating and very enjoyable
There is alot of content, at time of writing i have played for 53 hours and i haven't even finished the story, let alone all of the side missions and challenges.
The gameplay is fun and engaging.
The characters are well written. As is everything else.

So what's the reason i cant recommend it?

You need to be connected to their servers to play even single player mode. That's right, it got online DRM.
Everyone that has experience with Rockstar games knows their servers are absolutely horrific.
Be prepared to not play at all for weeks on end if they dont change their DRM policies because you can't trust them to improve their half-baked attempt at a dedicated server. Honestly i'm ashamed of being a fan of Rockstar games, not because their servers suck. No one has perfect technology, but because their DRM policies rely on those servers to run smoothly and they know very well that they don't.

Maybe ill change my mind if a different kind of DRM is used but until then i cannot recommend it to anyone.

This game will be enjoyable for AT LEAST 2 hours.

I love this game, it gives me complete freedom to do whatever i want! including:
Getting enslaved
Being a meal to a giraffe with a pointy beak
Losing limbs after pissing off the wrong pointy headed blue dude
Getting arrested for drug trafficking

I heard there's ways to become powerful enough to beat some bosses or even influence the world but as you can see by my playtime i cant possibly have reached that point yet.

update: after 100 more hours ive figured out how to get a base started and only have half my team die in the first raid instead of the full team, this is amazing!
