I can not in good faith recommend this game to people anymore. Yes i have 500 hours on this game and i used to absolutely love it. i last played about a year ago and classic mode was a lot of fun. however, after returning after a year, classic mode has become buggy and unplayable.

here are some of the issue i encountered that really ruined the game for me (these used to work perfectly 1 year ago)
-Npcs no longer follow you step by step, making rescues hard
-island sirens go off every 5 mins and a tsunami will tear through without warning
-they removed the ability to buy fuel at your base (pair this with the starter base with no nearby fuel depots, the world will be soft locked because you have no fuel nor the ability to purchase more)
-a cold front will come through and kill you without warning (resulting in the theft of arctic cloths form passing ships)
-Save states don't save your player location (if your boat is on autopilot, you reload the save and you fall off the boat)
-and my final straw was the fishing update (any update really). i have spent hours dealing with this buggy mess in classic just to try to enjoy the game as i used to. but every time the game gets an update, your old save becomes corrupt or buggy. meaning now when i load into my 30 hour world I've been playing on, all my vehicles disappear after 5 mins of driving/flight

Don't get me wrong, i love this game and I've spent 500 hours on it because i enjoy the creative process. but it seems the devs have abandoned the survival/career aspect of it and they neglect the bugs and keep it unplayable.

again, i can not in good faith recommend this game for people who want to relax and build their S&R company.
