An overall fantastic JRPG with an extremely distinct visual/audio style that had helped to set it apart from all other games in the genre even to this day, aided by gameplay improvements from those that came after it and a complete graphical overhaul, helps to make this an extremely affective and engaging experience. Highly recommend

A bit rusty around the edges, but the music and gameplay are extremely good. The story and writing returns to form with many characters after most of them have been one note in recent 3D outings. Overall this is a very solid game in its own right and a very exciting foundation for future titles.
