Well, I had my hopes up for this being an RPG and not a dungeons and dragons themed combo slasher with no checkpoints, no recall potions, and loot only being rewarded after a mission via RNG based on trivial stupid ♥♥♥♥, like if you stop to rest or not. The AI has a very clear almost MMO like aggro zone you can entirely bypass by throwing apples at them until they die. I wanted or hoped it would include exploring and looting, something kind of integral to a hack and slash rpg but instead its a collect-a-thon for bonus loot. Seriously disappointed and regretting the purchase but will hopefully see if I can get past the jank to find something I actually like in this.

Am over level 100, started with wastelanders update, still have no idea how to continue main story line past the brotherhood elevator, but the game works enough to enjoy it. Eventually you get enough daily grinds being juggled you play for a good couple hours a day and that is nice of a game for me. Lots of people are massive ♥♥♥♥♥ but the game discourages that (or tries) but that seems to spread as much as the scorch plague. There also seems to be a nearly bottomless supply of side missions so if you want more hours by all means, apparently before this update there were no humans and scorched chased you in "T pose", vast improvement over that now it seems.

Amazing game and under appreciated, but don't buy it here on Steam, for the love of atom don't even do it unless you plan on using it with tale of two wastelands... I've managed to- years ago -make this game stable enough to play for hours at a time. Now I've spent more than 3 days trying to get the game to run more than 20 minutes as it steadily decreases in stability after doing literally everything everyone ever does to fix it. FOSE, MODS, INI TWEAKS, GWL, now it feels like I own a DEMO of my favorite fallout that I have THOUSANDS of hours on over 3 different platforms. I gave up when opening containers began to crash me... and no I have NO MODS adding or adjusting content, just the alleged stability.

TDLR: Buy this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game on GoG or something, works right off the bat for most peeps, steam ver is ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Been playing since 2011, brings you back every time...
More cosmetics than active players.
Finally can find a decent amount of fire crystals since they changed the heating system.
Still see things that need improving (like binding a key to the gate map) that hopefully sega will get on now that OOO is pretty much just sega peeps now.
Pretty fun community still, Recomend the hell out of it.

Edit: They have since added more actual features to the game since Grey Havens took the reigns back from SEGA. Much love OOO/Grey Havens
