cool game probably but probably shouldnt be 70 dollars plus 35 dollar dlc SEGA dropping the ball from ♥♥♥♥ business practices yet again

As a long time THPS fan, this is a really cool concept with fun gameplay, but could greatly benefit from being both more polished and feature complete. Granted, the game literally just released in early access, so these problems are both excusable and expected to get better over time.

base games one of the best games ive ever played, but this New Game + behind DLC ♥♥♥♥ is utterly disgraceful. Be better than me and avoid giving in and buying this DLC if you can, SEGA shouldn't get away with it. Best I can do is negative review at this point.

The DLC situation sucks a lot and SEGA themselves should be ashamed, but this game is absolutely incredible and is easy contender for the best in the franchise, even against Yakuza 0. RGG cooked.

Short but very good

I can only name two specific boss fights that i thought were annoying in this game, but other than that its incredible through and through. When the combats good, its amazing, and the story is top notch throughout the entire thing, with one of the most satisfying and emotional endings in the whole series.

Original game had very little dev time, the graphics haven't aged particularly well, needs mods to properly function at all, is practically known for having copious amounts of bugs, crashes often, and can be a nightmare to run on certain settings or hardware.

Now that that's out of the way,

Incredible game. Would recommend 10/10

this game has some rly weird moments, the third dungeon being the best example but other than that its genuinely fantastic

the last 50% of the game is great, and the last 30% of the game is unbelievable. When the story is at its peak its incredible. its worth slogging through the (for lack of a better word) uncomfortable or unenjoyable early-midgame portions to let the game truely show its potential in both gameplay and story
