My third fort went pretty well for a long time.About 20 hours in and have got to 126 dwarves, a strong military and a double layered outer wall + gates.
Been attacked by a cyclops, a minotaur and a few goblin raids without major casualties. All is well!

A new migrant wave appears; very nice! Suddenly I get a warning that one of the migrants has turned into a wereape. He injures like 8 people and kills 2 kids before he is dispatched. Oh well I thought, gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette.
A month passes and I get a warning. 6 people have turned into wereapes (5 of them are part of my military). They get through about 60 dwarves and the fortress is offiically lost.

Would do it all again.

I definitely recommend getting this game. This game is close to perfection and there is no other way of going about it.

It's probably the only legitimate 10/10 I'm ever going to give.
