I mean it's DOOM

There is something about Remedy titles that just draws you in. Be it the dark atmosphere, the stylish ambiance or the abstract in a good way level design, they know how to pull you inside the game's world and hook you with a very interesting story as the cherry on top.

Control, while checking all of the above, is also currently one of the more graphically beautiful games out there due to the amazing effects and usage of Ray tracing.

In terms of gripes with the game - the gameplay can become somewhat monotonous at times but it's not much of an issue due to the cool new areas that you get to explore and various puzzles to solve. I also found it strange that the facial animations in cutscenes are so bad in an otherwise very polished title.

Purchasing this DLC leads to a series of introspective philosophical questions regarding human nature. For example - "Are humans inherently greedy and selfish creatures?", "Is there retribution for everyone's deeds in the afterlife?", "Am I retarded?"

Clunkier than the first, not as satisfying gameplay, needs more work.

Update:
A couple of patches have been released that address almost all gameplay concerns. If they manage to make the boons/hammers & weapons more effective and fun to use when the full release is out, then the game will be even better than the first Hades, which is a tremendous feat.
