This is a very nice rougelike game. It's one of the best around if you ask me. It features a cast of playable characters with neat little abilities. Fight your way through hoards of lizards to reach the deadly top monster. Watch out though! He'll throw his balls in your face, without consent. Don't even step into the abyssal depths, unless you want to fight MASSIVE gastrointestinal worms. Take part in the destruction of the sea turtle by killing hundreds of the jellyfish they snack on to survive. Discover your repressed internalized memories of childhood abuse, as the hermit crabs hit you from across the map. Don't forget to your bring your Ukulele to serenade the elemental spirits into giving your their wispy wills.

I have been waiting for this game since 2013. I wasn't expecting much. All I wanted was a game that was a little bit of fun and a little bit of grind. I didn't want a game where you spawn into a world and get one shot by everything alive from giant dog things to chickens. There is no real sense of progression. There's no xp and no leveling just item gear. Which can work, and has in games such as monster hunter world. It doesn't work in a game where you don't start out strong enough to kill a chicken. There is no satisfaction in exploring, completing quests, meeting npc's, or even getting gear. Along the way you're going to get one shot over and over again, the npc's are useless telling you one or 2 lines, and the quests are boring. On top of that if you finish a section and go to the next one, back to 0 again. Everything resets. No progression. No reward.

I can't comment on if it's better with friends because I would not make one of my friends suffer through this. I also won't bring up the rather unethical practices taken upon by the creator. If you're unaware he basically went silent for the last 6 years and comes back with a totally different game. He scrapped the few concepts he showed off over the past 6 years for this trash artifact gear type system.

Another issue I have is that if you alt-tab your game won't let you back in. Just epic. Also when you finally kill something and it drops an item instead of around 3 ♥♥♥♥ gold you'll probably get a piece of equipment you can't use because it's for a different class.

Many of these issues would've been fixed if Wollay wouldn't have gone silent and let people play the game as it was being developed, pretty much like every early access game is developed. Instead, we see a game that obviously had little to no playtesting. The playtesting that did happen would've been by the person that knows everything about this game.

Needs to improve:
Progression
Npc's
Worldbuilding
Fun factor
Artifacts
Region locking
Longevity
Alt-tabbing
Item's dropping that match your class

Positives:
The art style is cool, it's the only thing game has going for it
The map is cool

Negatives:
Everything gameplay-related is just lackluster and or terrible

This pack is alright. I think it's a good pack but I find myself not enjoying the packs as much seeing the repeat of the same game across all the packs. I don't think it would be hard for them to come up with some new games but that's whatever. I'll get into my usual Jackbox party review now.

Fibbage = 7/10 (Same ♥♥♥♥ as the other packs just check my pack 2 review)

Survive The Internet = 7/10 (It's a pretty fun game. We liked it. It's pretty much just a rebranded quiplash though tbh)

Monster Seeking Monster = 7.5/10 (This game is fun... but you're gonna fight with your friends because they're snakey ass backstabbing pricks. ♥♥♥♥ you Will and Alex)

Civic Doodle = 4/10 (It's a drawing game so it's one of their better games, but it's their weakest drawing game. The drawing time is super short, so you can't really draw anything good)

Bracketeering = 3/10 (Yeah this game is pretty doodoo)

This Pack is a pack that is worth the money. This Pack is worth it for just ♥♥♥♥♥' It and Tee Ko. If you also don't have quiplash then this pack includes it at as well. This along with Pack 2 are the most worth it packs in my opinion.

Quiplash = 10/10 (see my partybox 2 review)

Tee Ko = 7/10 (I really like the concept of it and it's a cool fun game. The only problem with it that we had was that most of the shirts you draw feel like wasted time because they aren't all used)

♥♥♥♥♥' It = 10/10 (This game is just hella fun. If you've ever played trouble in terrorist town on garrys mod it's kind of like that)

Guesspionage = 5/10 (It's an average game nothing special)

Trivial Murder Party = 6/10 (Really cool game concept and i do enjoy it's gameplay and think it's fun. However it is just another one of their trivia games)

This pack just isn't that good. This pack is the first pack on my journey of the 5 and one that I wouldn't reccomend. This pack does have fibbage and drawful which are both fun, but don't make the pack worth it. If you want fibbage get the jackbox Party pack 2 to get quiplash with it. If you want drawful then buy drawful 2 seperatly.

Fibbage = 7/10 (See my review of Party Pack 2)

You Don't Know Jack = 2/10 (See my review of Party Pack 5)

Drawful = 8/10 (It's pictionary and it's fun. But Drawful 2 is better and offers more options)

Word Spid = 6/10 (It's alright. It's nothing to write home about. It is short and fun though)

Lie Swatter = 4/10 (It's just a quick little trivia game. It's not good, but it sure as hell is better than You Don't Know Jack)

This pack is by far the most worth it pack. It has 2 games that they deemed good enough for individual sales, but one game outshines them all...Bidiots.

Earwax = 2/10 (This game was pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lame. You chose two sounds to represent things, but you can't hear the sounds you choose before you put them in. You basically just hope the sound sounds as funny as you hoped, and news flash it probably wont)

Quiplash = 10/10 (This game is just fun. It's basically cards against humanity but you get to write in your own response. Fun Game)

Bomb Corp = 4/10 (Pretty weak game. It's just a pisspoor attempt at making keep talking and nobody explodes)

Fibbage = 7/10 (I mean it's a fun little game. Nothing to write home about but it's pretty fun)

Bidiots = 8.5/10 (This is just a great fun game. It's definetly one of the best games that they have)

On my quest to review all of the Jackbox Party Packs 5 just nearly gets to stay in my library. Me and my boys were on the verge of labeling this one as refund central until we got to the last game. The last game in this pack is a gem that saves the pack. Thank you patently stupid for being a fun little game that saves this pack.

You Don't Know Jack - Trash 2/10

Split The Room - It's Alright 5/10

Mad Verse City - It's Alright 5/10 (I had high hopes for this one but it fell short in our opinions)

Zeeple Dome - 6/10 It's A Good Concept (I really liked the idea of this game, but it's execution results in a laggy ass game. The stream delay makes playing it awful, and be honest that's how most people who buy games on steam are gonna play it. If this game was released separately as a party hosted peer to peer game it would probably be a nice 7-8. Just for being a fun little goofy game)

Patently Stupid - 10/10 (I love this game. It's a great good time. It's fun as hell making these stupid ass inventions to the stupid ass problems your friends make)
