I was a member of both of the public beta tests, I enjoyed the game for the entire time those were up and I'm loving the game now. Most of the negative reviews at this time are people angry about server connection issues, while this makes an impact on your first experience I am willing to bet that those do not stick around and what will be left is a fantastic open world action mmorpg that scratches that mmo itch so many of us need after blizzard let its players and employees down.

Suit up and have fun!

I'd like to start out by saying that I've been following this game since is was on Kickstarter. I have a intel core i5 cpu, Nvidia GTX 1060 and 16 GB of ram. I maxed the framerate and all of the game's graphical settings. I have played for almost 7.5 hours at the point of which I am writing this review with no lag, no frame drops, at 1920x1080, and no stuttering.

The first concern people may have is that the game will lag and be unplayable: Well it may be true. I see many reviews that say something along the lines of "My beast of a machine can't even handle it" without ever stating the specs of their "beast". Take these reviews with a grain of salt. I will say that the minimum requirements do seem a tad low, but those that buy a game and only meet the minimum graphics requirements to play should not expect a completely flawless experience. Up until I got my new GPU I had a GT 730. I wanted to play Dark Souls 3 I ended up having to lock the framerate to 30 and reducing the picture quality to the second lowest aspect ratio and have minimum detail and then I still had drops in framerate. Did I blame the developer? No.

The second concern is the gameplay: Were there things promised that haven't shown up yet? Yes. Does that mean that they will never ever come to pass? No. Another subset of reviews are people who are mad that they did not get any multiplayer experience that was promised to them. And it's true. BUT. This just means that you can't go galavanting around with your friends, not to mention that even if there were a multiplayer experience the chances of you actually finding someone you know isn't that likely. This fact doesn't detract from the appeal of this game's single player. I have seen reveiw that say the gameplay is stagnant and repetitive, well... yeah, It's an open world exploration game. What did you expect? A storyline? An endgoal? I have a friend that said he isn't buying the game, and it's his choice, because of the "lame gameplay". And I don't think its a bad reason. It isn't for everyone. People complaining that there are reused assest. Well did you think they were going to model a quintillion different individual planets?

TL;DR
People are underestimating their PC's strength and complaining when they can't run at max settings on minimum requirements, people who went on the hype train didn't get a feature that was integral to them enjoying the game (Honestly a good reason). As for the rest of the gameplay, I believe that it is exactly what I expected from it given the immense scale. I paid for this game and I respect it has a niche market. I am looking forward at what is to come.
